"No one is indispensable."
My school was one of the best in town , i mean the secondary school i attended.
My school was on top of it's game, we were invited to all competitions ranging from quiz competitions, debate competitions, sports competitions, cultural competitions and all form of competitions.
We were always invited to inter schools in town, local governments, States and even at the national level because i remembered my school once competed at the COWBELL quiz competitions, and in all of this competitions we mostly come first.
There were times we came second too but we rarely came third. My school didn't really go far at the COWBELL competitions but i could remember the participants came home with some gifts.
Whenever my school is going for this competitions, there is always a very intelligent lady amongst the participants, she competed along side with her senior colleagues.
Then, rumors begin to fly, why must she participate in all the competitions?.
Then, there came another competition, she was invited and immediately she said she is not going. The principal asked her why?
She kept quiet without uttering a word.
Again and again, the principal asked her, her reason for declining the competition. Still no word came out of her mouth.
The principal was upset and tired at this point and he said " no one is indispensable"
Truly no one is indispensable, other competitions went well without her.
Prioritize your mental health, health( overall well being),and wellness.
Do not be the oversabi staff in an organization. If anything happens to you the organization will not fold up because of you. Life will definitely continue.
Rest when need be, have fun and be kind to others in your own little way.
