NEXT MOVIE — HYMN OF THE REDEEMED
Brother Voodoo’s role in Hymn of the Redeemed was one of the clearest examples of why the Federation needs him. This was not a battle that could be solved by firepower. The enemy had already reached the children.
The crisis began when several children were found suffering from what initially looked like fever, nightmares, seizures, and personality changes. Healing Hands could stabilize their bodies, but the condition kept returning. Brother Voodoo recognized the truth: hag spirit eggs had been planted inside them, supernatural parasites designed to mature through fear, dreams, and spiritual corruption until the children became vessels for the hag’s influence.
Voodoo immediately changed the mission from containment to spiritual rescue.
He refused the idea of killing the infected children or treating them as monsters. To him, they were victims whose souls were being occupied by something foreign. While Healing Hands protected their bodies, Voodoo entered the spiritual dimension surrounding the infection and began separating each child’s identity from the invading hag presence.
That became the heart of the movie.
The “Hymn” was not simply a spell. It was a coordinated act of resistance. Voodoo used prayer, ancestral invocation, spirit magic, and the voices of the children themselves to create a spiritual resonance the eggs could not easily imitate. Each child was encouraged to remember who they were—family, names, memories, hopes, songs, and people they loved.
The hag spirits tried to answer with false voices.
Voodoo recognized them.
He forced them into manifestation.
And instead of destroying the hosts, he pulled the corruption out of them.
The climax occurred when the largest egg began hatching prematurely, creating a spectral hag-form above the children. Brother Voodoo stood between it and the ward, staff raised, while the entire chamber filled with overlapping voices.
The children began singing.
Healing Hands joined them.
Then the Federation personnel outside the chamber joined.
That was the Hymn of the Redeemed.
The resonance weakened the hag’s hold long enough for Voodoo to sever the spiritual umbilical connecting the creature to every infected child. He trapped the extracted spirit mass inside a prepared vessel rather than allowing it to escape into another host.
The children survived.
And that victory shaped Voodoo’s philosophy afterward:
> “Possession does not make the possessed our enemy.”
It also gave the Federation a new doctrine for supernatural contamination: save the host first, isolate the parasite second, destroy or contain the threat third.
For Brother Voodoo, Hymn of the Redeemed became more than a successful mission. It established him as one of the Federation’s foremost authorities on possession, curses, spirit infection, hostile dream entities, and supernatural rescue operations.
And it explains exactly why his current Earth-2026 investigation worries him.
He has seen this pattern before.
Someone is again using supernatural forces to turn innocent people into weapons.
Brother Voodoo remembers the children.
This time, he intends to find the architect before the eggs hatch.
