Today I had the honor and privilege of representing Platoon 9 at the MCAN (Muslim Corpers' Association of Nigeria) Quranic Recitation Competition here at Camp Damare.

Standing before fellow corp members to recite the words of Allah (SWT) was not just a competition, but a moment of spiritual reflection, humility, and gratitude. It reminded me that no matter where service takes us, our faith travels with us and continues to guide, strengthen, and unite us.

I'm grateful to MCAN Damare branch for creating this platform that keeps the spirit of Islamic values alive even in camp, and for the opportunity to represent my platoon with pride and sincerity.

Special thanks to everyone who cheered me on, and to my fellow participants, the level of dedication and beautiful recitations from corp members across different platoons was truly inspiring.

This is service year done right, growing spiritually, connecting with others, and representing not just myself, but my platoon and my faith with honor.

May Allah accept our efforts and continue to guide us throughout this service year and beyond. Ameen. πŸ€²πŸ•‹

Today was more than just a celebration, it was a beautiful reminder of what makes Nigeria truly great: our diversity.

From the vibrant colors of different traditional attires, to the rhythm of various cultural dances, to the sound of languages from every corner of the country. Camp Damare came alive with the true spirit of unity in diversity!

Corp members from different tribes, tongues, and backgrounds came together as ONE family, proving that our differences are not walls that divide us, but threads that weave us into a stronger, richer nation.

It's moments like this that remind us: when we celebrate each other's culture instead of only tolerating it, we build bridges of understanding, respect, and lasting friendship. That is the true essence of the NYSC scheme. "Unity and Cooperation" in action!

Grateful to be part of this unforgettable experience, learning, laughing, and dancing alongside future leaders from every state of the federation. πŸ™Œ

I don't think I'll ever find the right words to fully thank Dr. Khalil Suleiman. He wasn't just my secondary school biology teacher, he was the architect of everything my career has become.

He didn't just teach biology. He brought it to life. Every lesson felt like an invitation into a bigger world, one built on curiosity, purpose, and possibility. Because of him, biology stopped being "just a subject" and became my calling. He's the reason I fell in love with human genetics, with vaccines, with the idea that science and technology could actually transform how people live.

That spark never left me. It followed me all the way into a degree in Biotechnology.

When I began my bachelor's in 2020, I carried big dreams, but the road wasn't always smooth. There were moments of doubt, moments of exhaustion, moments I questioned everything. And in those moments, one thing never wavered, the memory of Dr. Khalil's belief in me. He was my anchor when I needed steadying and my inspiration when I needed to keep going.

Today, I get to say it proudly: I am a graduate of Modibbo Adama University, Yola.

From a quiet dream in Abokin Sarki Islamiyya school classroom to a degree in Biotechnology. Sir, this is your legacy as much as it is my achievement.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You didn't just teach me science, you taught me to dream bigger.

Silence isn't weakness. It is a struggle behind eyes that are processing a million things at once. Do not mistake our quietness for a lack of power, we are likely fighting a battle you know nothing about.

Stay strong, push hard and keep the hope alive, eventually we shall hit the target 🎯. Kareem.
