What started as a simple delivery issue quickly turned into something much deeper and honestly very concerning.

We’ve finally located the Uber rider involved, only to discover he is completely different from the person we initially posted.

This raises a very serious question, how are accredited riders able to hand over or rent out their bikes and accounts to other people without proper accountability?

, there needs to be more transparency and stricter monitoring because situations like this put customers, businesses, and deliveries at risk.

Thankfully, we’ve been able to recover the items and money involved, and for that we’re extremely grateful. But this experience has been stressful, unnecessary, and eye-opening.

Please be careful when sending out deliveries and always stay vigilant. We hope proper action is taken so this doesn’t happen to someone else.

Thank you so much to everyone who reposted, called, checked in, and helped amplify our voices through this situation. We truly appreciate the support, especially the officers at Maroko Police Station for their assistance so far.

We have now recovered the items, but the case is still ongoing as the actual culprit has still not been found. Instead, another person was allegedly sent to return the dresses, so investigations are still continuing.

What has been most disappointing through all of this is Uber’s response or lack of one. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the public attention it received, and our countless attempts to reach out, Uber has continued to leave our messages on read with no proper communication or accountability.

As business owners, situations like this are extremely stressful and damaging, especially when valuable client items are involved. We’re grateful the dresses were eventually returned, but this experience has raised serious concerns for us.
Please use these services carefully and at your own risk.

Thank you again to everyone who stood by us and helped push this matter forward 🤍

, we need answers.

Since Thursday, one of your riders has refused to return dresses meant to be delivered to our client. At first, there were excuses, then promises, then repeated assurances that the items would be returned “soon.” Till this moment, the dresses are still nowhere to be found.

What makes this even more frustrating is that we have sent this rider ₦10,000 twice to facilitate the return, yet there has been no accountability and no sign of the items.

At this point, this no longer feels like a simple delay or misunderstanding. The confidence, inconsistency, and lack of urgency being displayed raises serious concerns about how situations like this are handled on your platform.

Your platform is built on trust. Trust that riders are properly vetted. Trust that businesses and customers can safely hand over valuable items without fear of them disappearing.

So we are asking:
How is a rider able to operate this way without consequences?
What protection do businesses have in situations like this?
And how exactly are these issues resolved when customers are left stranded?
We have remained patient long enough, but this issue can no longer be ignored.

If anyone knows Uber Nigeria’s official handles or support contacts, kindly tag them. We need this resolved immediately.
