A beautiful dress can still be a bad purchase.
Not because the dress isn’t worth having.
Because a good purchase is about more than liking the item.
When you’re building an intentional wardrobe, you’re also making decisions about money, lifestyle, personal style and the kind of life you want your clothes to support.
So before buying something new, I like questions such as:
Where will I actually wear this?
Can I style it in different ways?
Does it fit my current lifestyle?
Am I buying the piece—or the excitement of buying something new?
Does this purchase make sense alongside my other financial priorities?
And perhaps the most important one:
Would I still want this if I couldn’t buy it today?
That last question alone can save you from a lot of impulse shopping.
Personal style doesn’t have to mean constantly buying more.
It can mean becoming much better at choosing.
Save this as your intentional shopping checklist and send it to the friend who somehow says “I have nothing to wear” while owning 47 dresses. 😂
