Ogboto Okpe aka Teacher Laura

Ogbato Ogbe, fondly known as Tayire Laura, is a passionate teacher and cultural preservation advocate from Delta State, Nigeria. She is deeply committed to revitalizing and promoting the Okpee language, one of the ancient dialects of the Urhobo people,a language now at risk of fading into obscurity.

Born and raised with a deep appreciation for heritage, Tayire Laura channels her love for teaching into cultural education. Through creative lessons, storytelling, and interactive learning, she inspires children and adults alike to rediscover the beauty and depth of the Ogbe dialect.

The Okpe language, proudly spoken by the current governor of Delta State and rooted in one of the oldest kingdoms in Urhobo land, holds centuries of wisdom, proverbs, and identity. Laura’s mission is to ensure it continues to thrive for generations to come.

With her warm teaching spirit and unwavering dedication, Ogboto Okpe stands as a bridge between the past and the future with the mindset of empowering her community to speak, learn, and live the Ogbe legacy once more.
