The Billionaire Pretended to Be Sick Just to See His Family’s Reaction — But Only His Maid Cared
Chief Bamidele had given his family everything — wealth, comfort, a good name. But lately, all he got back were excuses and cold shoulders.
So one rainy morning, he coughed loudly, held his chest, and said weakly:
> “I don’t feel so good.”
His wife kept scrolling her iPad.
His son laughed on the phone about a Dubai trip.
His daughter didn’t even look up.
Only Mary, the maid, rushed over. “Should I call the doctor, sir?” she asked, worry in her eyes.
That night, Bamidele made a decision — he would fake a serious illness to see their true hearts.
When the family doctor told them he had “stage three heart failure,” the reactions were shocking.
His son asked, “So… how long does he have?”
His daughter whispered, “Will this affect the will?”
His wife frowned — from inconvenience, not sadness — and said, “Hire a nurse. I can’t skip my spa.”
Meanwhile, Mary stayed by his side — cooking, cleaning, and even crying for him.
> “I don’t understand how they can live with a man like you and not see the treasure they’re about to lose,” she told him one night.
That was the moment he knew what to do.
Later, in his study, he opened his will… and began crossing out names.
When he was done, one name remained.
Mary.
To be continued…
