Love this! He is coming back!

"I had dinner with some friends not long ago and we discussed this very thing. Why was the head linen separate from the linen clothes.

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

This is one I can honestly say I have never seen circulating so; if this touches you, you may want to forward it.

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see.. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!

Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.
When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it...

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now, if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done.'

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because....... coming back!' The folded napkin meant, 'I'm

He is Coming Back!"

Crazy how Jesus who was born in Bethlehem which means house of bread, calls Himself the bread from Heaven, tells us that this bread is His body and His flesh and that all we must do is eat it to have eternal life, again He uses dinner etiquette and imagery to let us know He'd be back. That same day He appears to Clopas in disguise and he only recognizes Him when Jesus raises up the One bread and gives thanks (Eucharist) at that moment He can see Him, because He is disguised as bread in the Eucharist. Could He be any more clear friends?

Hate is Never Spread by Knowledge .
It Always Spreads out of Ignorance .

In most cases ...
Most people who hate don't know anything about the person or people they hate .

Around this time last two years Nigerian youth made history....

Fuelled by pain and unity Nigerian youths took to the street to protest against the extrajudicial killing of young people by the special anti robbery squad (SARS) both physically and virtual.

The unity was something else, and the feeling of brotherhood struck like sting of an itch and in no time what seemed to us like a new beginning left a bitter taste in our mouths....

We were brought back to reality by the incessant sounds of gunshots and cries of wounded colleagues..... And what did the government do????

They tried to erase that horrific events from our memories and today with a feeling of nostalgia we remember those innocent protesters killed by that gun attack. May Thier souls rest in peace ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

We remember their names.....

You might think you don't matter in this world, but because of you someone now likes themselves a little bit more because:

You made a passing comment that made them feel good

Someone has read a book you recommended and they got lost in the pages

Someone has remembered a joke you told them that made them smile to themselves on the bus

Someone has tried on an outfit and felt beautiful because you complimented them on it

The smallest act of kindness can make the greatest impacts...
