One thing many clients don't understand is why tailors sometimes ask for more fabric than they think is necessary.

You may see a style online and assume 3 yards is enough because that's what someone told you.
But the amount of fabric needed depends on many things:
Your body measurements
The fullness of the design
Sleeves and extra details
Pleats, gathers, and draping
Matching fabric patterns
The Tailors’ cutting technique

Sometimes, the difference between a well-finished outfit and a compromised one is just one extra yard of fabric.

As Tailors, we don't ask for extra fabric to stress clients.
We ask because we want to deliver the best possible result.
