Ten years ago, I moved to Lokoja city. Last weekend, I decided that a milestone like that deserved more than a quiet celebrationโI wanted an adventure.
So, alongside some amazing friends and my wonderful kids, I climbed the famous Lokoja Mount Patti, a mountain rising about 1,500 feet high.
And yes, 9 months old Baby T climbed too! If that doesn't sound a little crazy, I don't know what does.
It was certainly not the easiest adventure I nearly regretted at some point climbing that mountain, especially because a woman warned us to take her back,She said the journey was too far and difficult, we laughed it off...Omo!
Every step up the mountain felt like a celebration of the journey I've had over the last decade, the challenges, the growth, the friendships, and the countless memories made in this city. Reaching the top wasn't just about conquering a mountain; it was about proving to myself that life is richer when we dare to do something outside our usual routine.
Most importantly, I got to share the experience with the people I love (except my adventureless husband). Watching my children enjoy the adventure and creating unforgettable memories with dear friends made the day truly priceless.
Ten years in this city, one mountain climbed, and a lifetime memory created. โค๏ธ
