Ebuka Songs is currently facing backlash from many Christians across Nigeria because Peller visited him. During a live stream, Peller mentioned speaking in tongues, which offended many viewers, resulting in thousands condemning Ebuka for associating with Peller.
One pastor even went so far as to describe Peller as a clown. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐
Here is my take on this:
Cain and Abel represent two worldsโthe world of the righteous and the world of the immoral. Yet, God still asked, "Where is your brother?" Even after Cain committed murder, God upheld the bond of brotherhood between him and Abel. God recognized them as brothers despite Cainโs blatant disregard for that relationship.
Dear Nigerian and African Christians, consider the murderers in jails, the so-called clowns, the prostitutes in red-light districts. God still calls them our brothers and sisters. On the last day, when we transcend into eternity, the Father will call you by name and ask, "Where is your brother?" At that moment, you may realize that in your religious fervor, you condemned your brother or sister to hell without giving them a chance to experience the benefits of the Finished Work of Christ. You labeled them as clowns and deemed them worthless.
You condemned everyone whose sins differed from yours. As far as you were concerned, you were the only one qualified to enter heaven.
Heaven will surprise you, believe me. It will challenge our religion and religiosity. It will humble us. We won't truly grasp the power of grace until we see who will be in heaven. At that point, we'll understand that Jesus wasnโt joking when He proclaimed, โIT IS FINISHED.โ
Stop judging others based on your personal standards and start measuring them against the standard of the Finished Work of Christ. I dislike religion because it condemns the weak and exalts the strong. I love grace because it is Godโs wisdom that makes both the strong and the weak equal and equally accepted in Christ.
