I AM STILL THINKING ABOUT WHAT I SAW! 😁😍
I attended a graduation ceremony recently at Redeemer International Schools, Uyo, and honestly, my mouth could not close! 😂
Before entering the main hall, there was a display in the lobby. At first, we thought different people had been given stands to display their products for sale.
Then we were told something that completely changed my perception:
THESE WERE PRODUCTS MADE BY THE STUDENTS! 😳👏🏽👏🏽
And that wasn’t all.
The performances by the graduating students were mind-blowing! 👏🏽😍
There was also a presentation where a technical teacher worked with some of the students on solar panel technology for electricity generation. 🔆⚡
I have been giving serious thought to everything I saw.
Because honestly, this is what education should be about.
Not just sitting in a classroom and memorising information, but discovering talents, developing practical skills, creating things, solving problems and giving children the confidence to become something with their hands and their minds.
As a parent or guardian, wouldn’t you love to see your child discover what they are truly capable of? ❤️
If you are in Uyo and environs, I believe this is something worth looking into.
Redeemer International Schools — Science & Technical College (RISSTC) appears to be taking a practical approach to education, with areas including STEM, ICT, entrepreneurship, robotics and animation, alongside academics.
And after seeing the students’ presentations and the things they had created, I can genuinely say:
I WAS IMPRESSED! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Parents, sometimes the best thing we can give our children is not just education, but the opportunity to discover their gift.
This is the latest way to go! 😍
