This afternoon, I visited Wucicciri Town in Wucicciri Ward of our Local Government Area for a strategic and impactful engagement at the instance of my principal, the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), following an invitation from members of the Wucicciri Youth Political and Mobilisation Movement.

The engagement formed part of our sustained and deliberate efforts to strengthen grassroots politics, deepen stakeholder engagement, and consolidate the growing strength of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Zaria Local Government ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, the APC in Kaduna State continues to gain wider acceptance as the party of choice for citizens who desire genuine development, security, inclusion, and responsive governance.

The Wucicciri Youth Political and Mobilisation Movement was established following a significant political realignment led by its Chairman, Hon. Mansur Ibrahim Buya, alongside members of his political structure, who left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and joined our great party, the APC. Their decision is a strong demonstration of the growing confidence in the Uba Sani-led administration and its development agenda.

The occasion also featured the formal commissioning of the Movementโ€™s office, marking a new and significant chapter in grassroots mobilisation and political engagement within the ward.

During the engagement, members of the Movement reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and pledged to mobilise strong grassroots support for the party. They commended the visible achievements of the APC-led administration in Kaduna State and expressed confidence in the developmental strides recorded under Governor Uba Sani, particularly in road infrastructure, education, healthcare, water supply, security, and rural development.

In recognition of their loyalty, commitment, and mobilisation efforts, I presented the sum of โ‚ฆ250,000 to the Wucicciri Youth Political and Mobilisation Movement as a gesture of encouragement and support for their continued activities.

I commended the leadership and members of the Movement for their bold decision to join the APC and urged them to remain united, disciplined, and firmly committed to the collective progress of the party and their community.

I emphasised that enduring political strength is not built through rhetoric alone, but through consistent engagement, consultation, reconciliation, and the deliberate effort to bring people together, irrespective of their previous political affiliations.

I further noted that this approach reflects the political philosophy of our indefatigable Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, whose leadership has been characterised by reconciliation, inclusiveness, consultation, and a commitment to uniting stakeholders across political divides in pursuit of the collective development and progress of our dear state.

As part of the visit, I also paid a courtesy call on the Sarkin Wucicciri. I deeply valued the opportunity to engage with the respected traditional institution on matters concerning community leadership, development, unity, peaceful coexistence, and the continued progress of the community.

On my way back from Wucicciri, I made an unscheduled stop at Bizara under Dambo Ward, after community members stopped my convoy and requested an audience. I gladly obliged, engaging directly with residents, listening to their concerns, and appreciating them for their warm and spontaneous reception.

The encounter was yet another reminder of the importance of accessible leadership and direct engagement with the people at the grassroots.

These engagements reaffirm my personal commitment, as well as that of the Zaria Local Government under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad (Jaga), to grassroots mobilisation, political reconciliation, stakeholder engagement, and inclusive leadership.

Together, we remain unwavering in our support for the transformative agenda of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, and the All Progressives Congress.

Last night, I had the pleasure of leading the Council Secretaries of the Local Government Areas of Kaduna State at a special strategic meeting held here in Zaria, ahead of the commencement of the 2027 election campaigns in the coming days.

The meeting was well attended, with representatives from all three senatorial zones of the state, and provided an opportunity for us to deliberate on strategies for effective grassroots mobilisation and engagement with our people in support of the re-election of His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), from the Presidency of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to the State House of Assembly.

We reviewed and identified practical modalities, actionable strategies and clear deliverables aimed at securing victory for our party across our respective Local Government Areas. These efforts will be undertaken in close collaboration with our respective Council Chairmen, party structures and other critical stakeholders at the grassroots.

As Council Secretaries, we remain committed to supporting our respective Local Government Chairmen in delivering the dividends of democracy and ensuring that our people receive the quality services and development they deserve.

The meeting also reaffirmed our collective support for His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, particularly in recognition of his continued support, encouragement and commitment to strengthening Local Government administration and grassroots governance. His administrationโ€™s focus on ensuring that both rural and urban communities benefit meaningfully from democratic governance remains commendable.

We further commended the Governor for his political sagacity and strategic leadership in choosing Comrade Jerry Adams as his running mate, a decision which we believe will further strengthen the administration and its connection with the people.

I sincerely appreciate all Council Secretaries for giving me the opportunity to host this important and historic engagement here in Zaria. I am confident that, working together with unity, discipline and a shared commitment to our people, we shall achieve the desired victory in 2027.
