Story time✌️✌️✌️
In 2021,I printed fliers,went to banks,some schools and other places I thought my potential students would be. I prayed specially for it, I wanted to start my fashion school as at that time, registration was 90k for 4months 😳😳😳😳 ( I can vividly recall how one fashion designer who met me for the first time wanted to yab me by say,oh so na u dey do training for 90k, dis kind, where you wan see who go pay you dat money the way he looked at me eh,I no fi forget the way I felt).

Guess what, that year I didn't get any student,did I feel bad,yessssss, I cried sef, I said oooooh that guy n many others will laugh me oooooo.
Was I discouraged, a little bit,but then I had to go back to fix wat wasn't right.
The next time I put up a flier,my price was even higher of cos you know economy no stable for our naija,and I got few students who registered
Why I'm I sharing this:
*Nobody has the power to stop your shine except you give in to what they say to you. *Always look within to know what you didnt do right,fix your workspace,show up more,put out your fliers online more,pray much more etc
*Always celebrate your little steps,don't be carried away n wishing the speed n growth you see of others are for you,they all started small.
I hope you know you learn from failed attempts,so don't give up,I pray this encourages someone today ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hmmmm if you no stand well na small tin go fall you,a client sent me a simple style,in my head,not such a big deal. I knew I had cut a cowl gown before,cowl neck before,buuuuutttt u see cowl side top...........

Simple style abiiii, I got it right on d 3rd attempt,yes I wasted 2,I had to buy materials to get it right. Why I'm I sharing this:

Never think u know it all.i want on YouTube watched d first video,(watch who knows road oooooo) na here I fess enter wrong bus😂😂😂. Second attempt I asked my staff to come n see oooo,he tot he knew it,he cut n sew,for where,dis time mesef no understand wetin my eyes see.

Before I cut the third time I fess chop food Incase hunger go be weapon way go wan fashion against me,got to YouTube again,taddddaa,got it,noticed d mistake and did it right. You see that curve in front,don't cut it or shape it,if not you HV ruined your material.its a straight cut, wearing it give that shaping in front.

I love the fact that we got the outcome ✌️✌️✌️

No be small happy my village people for dey happy.
Last weekend a returning client visited my office while I was absent,( most Saturdays I don't get chanced to be there personally,home-front needs attention too) so we spoke and she told me what she wanted for her 10yr old for school graduation which was the following weekend,I told someone( tailor who makes male wears) to help take her measurements and they left.

Got the fabrics and began working,hmmmmmm,pick up was on a Friday,she dropped by after work on Thursday to see progress,when she saw the dress she was like dis looks too big 🙄🙄🙄🙄,big Kwa,na once I say pls no vex go n bring your daughter again let me do d measurements myself.
The moment I saw her,😳😳😳 everywhere fess blur,me dat in my mind I was like mk the client kuku wait carry the dress today mk I be better tailor way dey deliver before time😜😜😜,had to loose and cut out excesses to the appropriate size😄😄.na small tin remain,them for drag me eh,use my eyes see shege,wat I ordered vs wat I got, somebody fi comment "na carpenter abi na tailor sew am"😂😂😂,bad mouth way full this online,I for no get mouth gist this story again ooooo.

Measurements can ruin a beautifully sown dress cos it doesn't fit who it's meant for,this is why we take our time to teach how to take measurements and it's techniques at our fashion school carefully, we are waiting for you to join our next batch of students,classes starts in August,don't wait till classes begin.
