"Sashiko" (or rice-grain stiching) uniform 🪡

Due to its appearance, the anscestral Japanese weaving technique ""Sashiko"" is also known as "rice-grain stiching". This process was originally used by Japanese farmers and martial artists to repair and reinforce their clothing, but eventually was popularaized because of its unique look.

Indeed the threads are meticulously woven into harmonious, geometric patterns which used to elevate KENZO denim pieces and create a cultural dilogue where East meets West.

For the PF23 collection, draws inspiration from the tradtional Japanese stitching technique called "Sashiko", often used in Kendo uniforms and other garments to reinforce them. The KENZO "Sashiko" not only display unique harmonious patterns but are a testament to the complexity of craftsmanship. 🪡
