Located in China's Hubei province, this naturally formed sinkhole has its own ecosystem. Its depth is about 290 meters. If each floor of a building is taken as 3 meters, then the depth of this sinkhole would be equal to about 97 floors of building! On the other hand, its land area is about 16.47 acres.
Sunlight and rainwater enter through the mouth of the sink hole Also, due to the lack of free movement of people and sufficient oxygen, various types of plants have grown in it. Especially covered with moss, palm trees, flowers and ferns! Many more sinkholes like this sinkhole in China have been discovered, each with its own ecosystem!
Besides, in May 2022, another sinkhole was discovered in Hubei province which is 40 meters.
