New design for the fitting rooms at de Bijenkorf.

In this project, our Fresco 4.5mm White 001 Walltextile was combined with our Eco Glue Forte. The result?

Wool or PET Felt: which one to choose?

When choosing between wool felt and PET felt, appearance and feel play a major role.

Our Minimal Art collection is made from recycled plastic, giving it a glossier and more streamlined appearance. Are you required to use only recycled materials for your project? Then PET felt is the perfect option.

Wool felt, on the other hand, has warmer and deeper tones. It naturally offers fire resistance (FR). However, we can also treat our PET felt to ensure it is fire safe.

Are you considering using felt in your project? We are happy to provide advice on the right thickness and any additional treatments needed.

Wool felt is commonly used in various spaces such as home cinemas, recording studios, offices, and commercial areas. It can be applied to walls, ceilings, doors, and floors to effectively block and absorb sound, thereby enhancing the room's acoustics.

Wool felt not only offers excellent sound-insulating properties but is also durable and an environmentally friendly choice. Our wool is mulesing-free, and the felting process doesn't involve water or drying machines.

A beautiful example of a custom-designed solution for an acoustic wall at

Alphenberg designed a wall using their own leather/suede, combined with our wool felt. This combination results in both excellent acoustics and a visually appealing outcome.

A base layer of our wool felt wall textile has been applied to the wall. Over this, suede slats have been placed, with spacing in between to ensure effective acoustic performance of the wool felt.
