We are so happy with the June sub box! It arrived yesterday and we are extremely pleased! Such beautiful clothes and someone really did a good job picking clothes for our baby boy Casper!

🎀 I can't believe it will be Christmas in barely two weeks. I am so not prepared and so not in the mood yet. We haven't even decorated our Christmas tree yet. It is still in the loft...
🎀 All around us in our neighborhood we see decorations in their front garden appear, which is rather nice. We don't have a front or back garden, just a little balcony. And I don't really feel like decorating the balcony...
🎀 But we really must decorate that Christmas tree though. I will never get into the right mood without all those lights here...
🎀 But it's not like we didn't do anything seasonal yet. We have an advent crown hanging from the ceiling and since last Sunday we burn two candles on it every evening (when we watch Netflix)... Do you have all kinds of holidays decoration already everywhere? ...

🌈 I have noticed the last week there aren't many comments, liked and views anymore on my posts, but I am not doing anything different. I fear there is some algorithm thing going on again, but I don't know what it can be...
🌈 I know Instagram flagged some hashtags as spam, and if they are used, you can be shadowbanned or whatever. It means your posts don't show up as often as they used to.
🌈 Could you perhaps help me out a bit here and if it's not enough trouble like my posts for a while? I kind of need to know if they are still seen. With 14.000 followers I don't really understand why my posts don't seem to show up on more feeds...
🌈 I would appreciate it if you could help a bit with trying to beat this algorithm, as you really don't understand even how it works... I do know though that small shops with just one mom behind it all really appreciate your support, and it really helps if more moms would like posts and do a comment here and there... ...

🦊 It's weekend again! What are you going to do this weekend? We went to the supermarket and thought it was a great day out, lol. Covid kind of changed what we appreciate quite a bit. First we went to musea in the weekends and to nature parks and to Germany, and city trips. And enjoyed it. But now we really had a terrific afternoon going into town, to the supermarket and to c&a.

🦊 Do you also like to watch old series on DVD and Netflix now we have to be at home so long already? We do too! We have watched all seasons of Vera, Shetland, Lucifer, Victoria and The Crown, and now we are watching Xena the warrior princess...
🦊 Strange, in the past I didn't notice the special effects in Xena were so bad... But it still is charming. Yes, it is! It is not all about fighting. Mostly it is about Xena and Gabrielle, and how they change and grow...
🦊There are funny things too though. In one season they did both rescue Helena in Troje, and met Julius Ceasar in Rome, and Boudicea in Britain, and Homerus in Greece. That's a bit odd... As in reality there were hundreds of years inbetween... But I don't mind.
🦊 When Xena is done, we will start on all seasons of Little house on the prairie, and all seasons of Victorian, Edward Ian and Wartime farming from the BBC.
🦊It is difficult to be at home all the time sometimes, but it is cozy too. I haven't worn pyjama's during the day too so often ever, lol... ...

🎄 Or 🍁 Instagram is in the Christmas mood and I have seen some shops even shift towards winter items, January themes. But of course it is still autumn. And when I look outside my living room window, I really still see autumn...
💚 Of course Christmas is around the corner. But here in Holland first Sinterklaas evening is very important, especially for families with children. On December the 5th it is Sinterklaas, and in Holland presents are given by Sinterklaas and not by Santa, although they have the same origin of course. Sinter-klaas is Santa Claus of course...
💚But I guess that is also a reason why I can't really think of Christmas yet. Sinterklaas is still in Holland and both shops and families start with Christmas decorations after December the 5th... ...

🎄I wonder what Christmas will be like. Other years I spent first Christmas day with my children, my mom, and the father of my children. And boxing day we went to my grandfather and met all the aunts, uncles, and cousins there with their families. That has been for me at least a 45-year old tradition..
🎄 This year obviously will be different. On boxing day we probably will stay at home, as we can't come together as a family. My grandfather is 98 years old, so there is no chance we will place him into such a dangerous situation.
🎄On Christmas day we will probably go to where my daughter lives, and my son will come there too, and their dad too, my mom and my husband. It will be the first year that my husband will celebrate Christmas with my kids. Their dad and him are friends though, so I think it will be okay. It will be new for my children though, and they might be a bit anxious about it...
🎄So Christmas will be different. What are your plans? Also very different?...

💚 I have been a bit silent last week, but I had to do some things to be able to re-start again in January. I had to close my shop until January, which is pretty sad. And not good at ALL in the busiest time of the year for small shops...
💚 I had just started presenting the holidays collection. And I had so many more nice plans for Christmas outfits. But it was not to be, at least not this year...
💚I already mentioned earlier that I had been in hospital with ulcers. Ulcers are caused by ibuprofen, but also by stress. And when I came home, I started working again right the next day. Because that order load... I had to finish it because I didn't want to let down anyone.
💚But a week ago, in the weekend, the ulcers decided they needed to be inflamed badly too, also in my bowels. Probably because I hadn't listened well enough to my body. Then my husband decided enough was enough, and I needed to heal first.
💚 So even though it made me very upset, I had to cancel the majority of my orders and refund people. That was something I didn't enjoy doing, obviously. Knitting is my passion, and knowing these knits will be worn by babies all over the world is something so rewarding. And refunds don't pay the rent either. So it were a few very upsetting days last week...
💚But I already feel a bit calmer now. I will finally have time to send my brandreps new knits, from the upcoming winter collection. And I will have time to make ready to ship knits for January too...
💚Hopefully the whole ready to ship concept with about 10-15 added made to order slots each month will work out well, but it might. I have never tried it before, as my collection is so wide with 50 colours and 10 sizes, and lots of lots of different styles to choose from. But now I can surprise you all each month with totally new items...
💚Like this new romper here on the photo, paired with a beautiful bonnet by that matches it perfectly. I made a more boyish flatlay too with the same romper, and I will place that one in stories...

🌞 I like it so much that these sisters are wearing matching outfits! That is so cute! The big sister wears a dress I knitted with the same yoke as the romper the baby sister is wearing. Looks like they are enjoying the autumn sun quite a bit...
🌞 Do you dress your children in matching outfits sometimes too and how long did you get away with it, lol? I managed to dress my son and daughter in matching outfits until they were 6 and 8. Then my daughter refused to look like her little brother Isaiah any longer... Too bad, as they were so cute looking alike..... ...

🍄 I have thought long and hard this week and I have read all your comments. I am going to change the shop as soon as I have send most of the orders, which will not be before Christmas.
🍄But the idea is to start a new shopstyle in January. I have to, as I get so many made to order orders, and there is no time to make ready to shop items. And the shipping time inside Europe is okay, but to Australia, Canada and the US is quite long since covid.
🍄 If I had rts items, people wouldn't have to wait first four weeks because of the waiting list and then even more weeks because of a bad functioning usps. If there were rts items, people would receive their orders way sooner...
🍄 But the only way how I can do that, is by doing drops. And if I want to be able to offer you at least 15-20 items per drop, I really must have less made to order orders. Because now I have to knit 12 hours each day, and still I am delayed.
🍄 The idea is to offer 20 made to order slots each month from January on, and as many rts items as I can possibly make...
🍄 Would that be something you will all like? I would need your input though, in what to make for the rts collection each month... ... ...
