HAVEN est HEUS is an avant-garde and experimental Oslo based womenswear fashion and design project, created by Oslo/Uppsala based designers Carl Fredrik Knudsen and Christopher Stangeby. The duo met while studying at fashion-design institute ESMOD in Oslo and decided to collaborated on their senior thesis collection. Merging their deepest aspects of imagination in to a collection that are defined
by the designers heavy vision, signature design and attention to details, with an emphasis on tailoring and an eclectic use of materials and custom developed fabrics. HAVEN est HEUS by a SELFISH SPIRIT WHO ONCE SAW ME is an inner journey that questions what makes and decides if a human being is pure or not. HAVEN est HEUS is a mischievous story that isn’t governed by the restrictions of the human world. It is told through the eyes of a non-human spirit, that softens the boundaries between human beings and nature, life and afterlife, good and evil. A spirit who can faintly recall it’s past life filled with love and passion, giving way to the love of marriage, but it’s easy to forget that love can be forgotten. It finds itself dragging a monolith on it’s back wandering in loneliness around in a mystique and gloomy landscape, until one day it can hear someone screaming on it’s deathbed. Ophelia, a girl who’s to ashamed to talk about her issues, laying ill as she’s lost something she can’t seem to remember. She wants the spirit to take her home so she could be with her loved ones. The spirit is from here taken into a strange and mystical world filled with visionary beauty. Learning that to feel love again, it has to face the fact that the world is horrible. They realise they have met before and the spirit follows Ophelia through her divorce from sanity and faith as she slowly loses her mind and is caught in the middle of forces beyond her control. Revealing your inner self, confessing your inner devotions that one wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing with others. Still, you would stand by it with your life.
