If you are after a hearty, nutritious meal head on down (or up in our case) to Hammer & Tongs Food Stop in the old Silverdale village.

Absolutely beautiful meal.

This is a Beef Saag Maharaja bowl and was so filling.

This is the "Foreman" size bowl and is priced at a very reasonable $15.00.

Their menu changes daily and there are takeaway meals available for when you don't have time to cook but want something wholesome

Loving my weekend getaway

If anyone is looking for something to delight the senses on this wonderfully wet morning, I can highly recommend the Hobsonville Point Farmer's Market.

We are heading down there in a few hours, it's open until 1pm and as its quite small for now an hour is plenty, as it's just so funky and intimate.

The thing I am looking forward to the most is a basil & pesto Italian bread from Mira at Frittelli

Right my dears.

As we all know I've been out of action for the last 6 months.

Reason being that I have been trying to cope with a very deep, dark depression that unfortunately almost claimed my life last week.

As of now though, I am wanting to take Love U Sew in a slightly different direction as I focus on healing and learning how to live this glorious life to the fullest.

So with that in mind I am thinking I may just use my page as a platform from which to raise awareness around mental health and the challenges and triumphs those living with a health condition of this nature can experience.

Today kicks off the Mental Health foundations "Nature is the key" campaign.

This campaign aims to help us get out amongst nature to help find ourselves as a means for helping.

Whilst I don't have a picture of "nature" itself from today, I do have this beautiful shot of my little man, my "king of all the wild things", the inspiration for my business name himself, with his wild windswept hair.

Reminding me he needs supervision

I'm afraid Love U Sew Baby is needing to close down for a while as I deal with a bit of a family emergency.

I will be up and running again as soon as it is possible though, though at this time I cannot give an estimate of when that may be.

I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

How gorgeous are these?!

Unfortunately this is a VERY limited print that is all gone.

This print hails from America, should I order more of it???

I'm hoping to work with the designer of the print to create a scaled down version suitable for the newborn - 6 month sizes.

Apologies for being so silent/absent for the last few months.

Things at Love U Sew headquarters have meant I've had to focus on family and health and our home as opposed to Love U Sew.

Whilst it is unfortunate, needs must.

However I've been working on these for the last few weeks/months actually and they are finally done!!

If you are ever looking for someone to preserve your special memories then I can highly recommend this wonderful lady

I just had to share this now 💕 i have been working on an extremely special order for an absolutely lovely lady. She sent me a parcel with all of her inclusions ~ so perfectly displayed, all on a board detailing how she would like each bead to turn out
From left to right: 3 clear beads with gold flakes and a lock of her sons gorgeous blonde hair in each,
1 gold and peach bead containing a beautiful dried yellow flower from her wedding day - she reserved a seat for her dad with these flowers ~ although he could not be there in person, he was there in spirit 💕
Then 3 beads in pearl and rose gold containing the hair of her neice.
Next was 4 deep blue beads with gold flakes that contained a lock of her dads hair, who had sadly passed away 15 years ago after he found out he had cancer ~ Anj's note was what had me in tears by this point 'locks of hair from my father...he is and forever will be my hero - my superman' she explained via message that he looked just like superman and was such an amazing person, everyone often described him as superman.
And then finally, Her milk was expressed from her sons very LAST feed ever, this was used to make the beautiful baby blue bead with gold flakes on the end.

Would make super cute "beeee mine" booties for babies on valentine's day I think.

Ooooo, what if I could embroider a proposal onto the soles?
