I've started creating some little pieces again after what feels like a long absence from the world of crafting. Everything you'll find in my shop is created from vintage, upcycled or fair-trade certified fabrics. I love all things vintage and retro and wholeheartedly embrace using fabrics in a way that is quite contrary to their original purpose. It's like giving them a new life - a second chance

(don't we all need that?)

I believe that the time and love involved in making something by hand reflects the way each of us is uniquely and lovingly crafted by our creator. It is my hope that these small efforts of mine may somehow help others - particularly the vulnerable among us. 10% of the purchase price of all Funfair work is donated to charity. I would be happy to make something specially for you!

Hi friends! Happy first day of Advent to you all! This year my sister-in-law asked me to make her an Advent calendar to use for a very cool lego building advent activity. I made two designs - the simple pocket one (which is pictured here with her wrapped lego bits in the pockets!) and the little houses one (as yet empty on my wall!) I'm currently taking "absolutely no obligation" expressions of interest for Advent 2016. Please message me if you would be interested in a calendar. Both designs take quite a long time to make (actually hours and hours) and the house one is particularly time consuming as has been priced accordingly. However, I think they are precious pieces that can be handed down through the family for years to come! As always, only recycled, upcycled or thrifted materials have been used. :)

Back behind the sewing machine after a lovely week up north visiting family - one broken needle, two damaged zips - argh! Trying to get some kids wallets out by the weekend...so glad of an amazing Otago autumn with cheerful native bird choruses today!

Kids Money Skills Wallet pockets and labels ready to sew! (Can anyone think of a better name for these?) I owe much gratitude to the wonderful Charlotte of Chuckles for the use of her printer today. Somehow Charlotte managed to juggle laundry, snacks and three cute little ninjas while she printed these off for me! Do check out her lovely work...
