Kia Ora Kaitaia Whānau,

I wanted to let everyone know that after much thought, I’ve made the decision to conclude my Māmā & Me Bundles initiative.

I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ll be joining the incredible Pēpi Packs team, who are doing amazing work supporting whānau in need right here in our own community.

I’m proud to be part of this wonderful crew and can’t wait to continue making a positive impact with them.

Thank you to everyone who supported Māmā & Me Bundles - your kindness and generosity made it all possible! 💕

Māmā & Me Bundles is winding down for the year and will be back up and running after the Summer season.

Today's the day I get to play Santa to a māmā up at Kaitaia Maternity! I’m heading out to deliver this beautiful baby girl bundle. Seeing the midwives' faces light up when I deliver a bundle is literally the best part - it's like a shot of pure joy straight to my heart! 😍

I’ve also been asked to do a bundle of size 00 for a baby boy in exchange for looaaads of newborn items 😍 Thank you to the amazingly generous Kearah Te Wake for all of your beautiful baby boy items that will go out today to this very grateful māmā in need!! I couldn’t do this without the support of beautiful people like you Kearah, so thank you a million times 💕🥰

Off to drop this beautiful baby girl bundle to Hannah Pure at Te Rarawa Anga Mua for a māmā in Mangamuka. A huge thanks to Natalie Allen, Erina Attwood, OTC, Kia Taurima, ANT Trust and everyone else who have so kindly donated your items to this kaupapa.

A whakatauki that resonated with me:
“Ko te wāhine te kaitiaki ō te whare tangata”
“Women are the guardians of the house of humanity”

Our pēpi are our future, so let’s make sure our māmā and pēpi in Muriwhenua are well taken care of 💕

Well it’s been a pretty busy 2 weeks for me, collecting donations, putting more bundles together and reaching out to different services here in Kaitaia! I’m so grateful to the ladies at Far North Reap for joining this kaupapa too, they’ve so kindly offered LOTS of donations and I’m thrilled that I have more bundles to go out this week! This mahi truly fills my cup and I’m so privileged to be able to awhi our māmā who are struggling 💕 A huuuuuge thank you again to everyone who has donated the items that go into making these bundles, this kaupapa is not funded in any way and all the items in these bundles have been donated by the community, for the community…Kaitaia, you rock!! 😍😍

I was touched by a heartfelt message from a Kaitaia midwife this morning, requesting a Māmā & Me bundle for a newborn baby boy. It set the tone for a day of kindness and compassion. I delivered a boys bundle and a girls bundle to the Maternity Ward this morning and have more bundles scheduled for home drop-offs tomorrow, spreading love and support to our precious māmā and pēpi. These bundles are crafted to provide essential items and symbolize our community's unwavering support, reminding our māmā that they are seen, heard and valued. Reaching out for help can be daunting, but I'm honored to lighten that load 💕
