Proudly designed in New Zealand. The Swazi adventure began back in October 1994. A trapper by trade, Davey Hughes and his then wife Maggie started the company after a crash in the skin market. "If I was an expert at anything, it was getting wet and cold! I had ideas, dreams and ambitions. Mags had the drive to help turn them into reality. We set out to build a company to design and make clothing t

hat would keep people dry and warm. Durable. Practical and affordable clothing." Now, Swazi has become much more than a clothing company. 26 years on it is a company with huge respect around the globe, not only for apparel, but also for it's stand on environmental issues, social justice and promotion of adventure. The Swazi promise is to continue to bring you innovative and practical Agricultural, Hunting and Outdoor Leisure clothing, but hand in hand with this assurance Swazi also undertakes to make the voice of the outdoors heard. A love for the outdoors.
A passion for adventure.
A few hard-earned lessons.
And the memories made along the way.

To the dads who taught us to get out there, give it a go, and never stop exploring. To the dads who showed up, stood beside us, and shared in the things we love.

And to the sons who grew up, but never outgrew those moments together.

Here’s to the fathers who leave their mark. Not just in what they teach us, but in who we become.

That’s just one chapter in the hunting story of Swazi ambassador Jared Matthews AKA Jared Matthews
Growing up on a small cattle farm in central Victoria’s river country, Jared spent his childhood working and exploring the land before taking up hunting. Since chasing Sambar in the Victorian high country from the age of 18, he’s hunted across Australia, New Zealand, Alaska and Kyrgyzstan.

But the trophies aren’t really what keep him heading out. For Jared, it’s the days spent a long way from the ute, living out of a pack and seeing what you’re capable of.

“When you’re a few days from the ute and living out of your pack, you need gear that’s going to hold up.”
