A wee sneak peek at what I’ve been playing around with at CH Branded Brims 🤠✨

These two very well-loved straw hats have had a bloody good clean-up and are getting a whole new life — one sprayed gold and one black.

The gold one is already partway through getting some serious BLING underneath the brim… and OMG, she’s looking pretty bloody amazing. ✨🔥

But I’m not showing you that just yet! 😏 You’ll have to wait for the finished reveal.

I absolutely love taking something old and well-worn and turning it into something completely different and one of a kind.

Just finished this commission piece tonight for a local DJ who has a gig coming up in Christchurch and a Photo shoot — a one-off custom cap made especially for her, with plenty of attitude. 😏🔥

I’m absolutely loving playing around with diamantes at the moment — because apparently there is no such thing as too much bling. 😂

A little more playing around at CH Branded Brims 🤎

I’ve been having a crack at making my own hat chains too — using natural stones, beads and a bit of western bling. Still learning, still experimenting, and having way too much fun doing it! 😂

Now I’m on the hunt for some really nice quality cotton trucker caps to use as my base — good shape, good fit and something that feels as good as it looks. If anyone knows a great supplier, send them my way!

Well… I couldn’t wait! 🤠

I was way too excited, so I had to have a crack at my very first practice cap tonight.

It’s nothing flash yet, and it’s definitely just a practice run. Tonight was all about learning my new heat press, figuring out the buttons, temperatures, pressure, and getting the feel for it all.

I’ll be wearing this one to the salon tomorrow with a big smile on my face because every journey has to start somewhere.

I’ve got heaps more patches, caps, and goodies on the way, and once they arrive I’ll be adding a lot more bling, personality, and having some real fun creating different styles.

This is just the beginning of the CH Branded Brims journey, and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next. Thanks for coming along for the ride! 🤎🤠

Yesterday Ruby decided she was a fully qualified sheepdog… unfortunately, the sheep didn’t get the memo. 🐑😂

Poor Bruce just sat there watching the whole disaster unfold like, “Yeah… I’m staying out of this one.” 🤦‍♀️

Life with these two is never boring, and I reckon they’ve earned themselves another episode of The Cedar Heights Pugs.

The first lot of caps and patches have landed all the way from the USA, and I’m like a kid at Christmas! 🤎

Now the fun really begins… mixing, matching and creating one-of-a-kind pieces that’ll have a bit of country attitude.

Some are cheeky.
Some are classy.
Some might make you laugh.
Some might even get you into trouble… 😜

I’ve got plenty more ideas brewing, and this is only the beginning.

🤎 Welcome to CH Branded Brims

This has been a dream sitting quietly in the back of my mind for a long time.

After 35 years as a hairdresser, I wanted to create something that felt like me. Something that brings together everything I love… horses, country life, good mates, a few laughs, and the freedom you feel when you throw a hat on and head out the gate.

A hat isn’t just something you wear because you’re having a bad hair day…

It’s the hat you reach for before a ride, a trek through the hills, a day at pony club, reining, campdrafts, rodeos, country shows, or just a quiet afternoon on the farm.

It’s about friendship, horses, country life, and making memories.

Every brim I make will have its own story, because every person who wears one has their own story too.

This page is about following a dream, learning as I go, celebrating the wins, laughing at the stuff-ups, and proving you’re never too old to back yourself and start something new.

I hope this page becomes more than just hats. I hope it becomes a place where we celebrate country life, strong women, good horses, great friendships, and chasing dreams—no matter where you’re starting from.
