Hello again beautiful people
So as many of you know I started doing alterations on clothes back in October last year.
Trading as Ebony House Collection/Nicola Pratt.
A little background about how it began.
I am a self taught sewer from the age of 12, having my grandmother being a home clothes maker along with my mum and aunty, who made pjamas, singlets knickers dressers and sweatshirts.
I remember Nana having a glory box full of fabrics and laces, buttons and brooches, all things pretty.
Having to make do with wearing op shop clothing ( hence the reason for my love of op shop vintage fabrics)❤️
I throw myself into many sewing courses to pick up and acquire many skills in the sewing trade.
But, the one I most enjoyed was when I attended Aoraki Polytechnic in Timaru in the early 90s.
Learning to draught and fit. And model garments that I had designed and brought to life.
Bestoked tailoring, heritage costumes, lingerie, millinery and so much more.
I have made wedding dresses, ball dresses shirts and pants. Even School uniforms.
Leather jackets, curtains.
I have much experience in all avenues of fabric and textiles.
So, if I can be of any help or service to any questions that you may need help with,
Send me a message.
I will endeavor to give as much knowledge as I can.
I certainly love my job. 🌹❤️X
So spread the word, like and share.
I appreciate everyone of you 🥰 ###
