Rainbows are a favourite of mine and not just because they are pretty it’s because of what they remind me of.

They remind me ...
🌈 That just like the weather - stormy and horrible outside, out comes the rainbow after the storm and it will shine again. Together we will go through the storm and trials and come out stronger than we thought possible. Also that better day’s are coming.
🌈 That we will get there to the pot of gold (happiness) at the end of the rainbow just keep going one step at a time, one day at a time, one month at a time.
🌈That life isn’t always sunshine and full of pretty flowers, sometimes it can be tough as crap.
🌈Gods promise as God said, ““And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations Genesis‬ ‭9‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Anytime my family see a rainbow they either tell me to come take a look or snap a photo for me if im not feeling well.

Accessibility matters to us and is why I create and design accessible knitting patterns. We have 2 designs available Autumn Leaves Chunky Scarf and Tranquillity Headband.

The accessible patterns are:
🧶low vision accessible (LVA)
🧶screen reader (SR) accessible and has been tested with a screen reader.
🧶accessible for the print challenged (PPC).
🧶The pattern has been written in Arial 28pt font.
🧶Bold for the headings with no italics used.
🧶All images are in black and white with image descriptions for each.
🧶The free scripture card has been turned into a free printable A4 wall art/poster with black font on a white background.

Autumn has ended and I suppose you are here because you want to hear the tale of farewell as the Silivagers returned to the Splendid Spring Court of Pansy and the Amazing Autumn Court of Fallen Leaves closed it’s doors and gates.

The Autumn Court bridge gate was opened for a short time and promptly drawn again and the forest green door triple padlocked locked up. What was the purpose in this you ask? Simply to keep it in functioning order should it need to be used in the future. Not out of optimism but out of a need for safety for the wellbeing of the court. Done randomly for safety’s sake but this time it just happened to be before the Spring Court left.

The door deep in the forest where I shan’t say where just that it’s hard to get to and it’s shaped like a leaf at the bottom of a tree with a little wooden handle and a toadstool nearby. With a touch of whimsy here and there yet it’s so easy to miss. Many may knock but they’ll keep knocking for no one ever comes to answer it. Why you may ask? Cause everyone’s now shut in for the winter and it’s almost guaranteed no one with good intentions is knocking on that door. For every Sililvager knows you need to yell this seasons code at the guard on the other side of the door as a warning and unlock the door with your key.

🌿This months word is Connection

🌿After putting up a poll there was 2 words that were a tie so the other word will be next months word.

☕This months action steps
1️⃣Catch up with friends.
2️⃣Create memories with friends and family and take photos to look back on.
3️⃣Video call or have a morning tea with a friend.
4️⃣Do something special for someone.
5️⃣ Write letters or cards to friends or family wether they live near or far, it's nice to get happy mail.

Our month of rythm was just what we needed to get back into one while also enjoying the season. While the season is changing and it will soon be winter, I'm keeping some the rhythms from autumn eg. Sitting outside at morning tea and reading.

🍎Our Family Favourite Apple Crumble🍎

🍎🥧A long standing family favourite across all 5 generations.

Recipe includes sugar alternatives, gluten free and dairy free options.

Serves 6

Ingredients
2 cups of stewed apples
2 Tbs brown sugar or sativa or honey
1 cup of plain flour or gluten free flour that bakes like ordinary flour.
1 tsp baking powder (please check ingredients to make sure it’s gluten free)
50grams of butter or margarine or olivani
1/4 cup of raw sugar or sativa or honey
1 tsp of nutmeg
1 tsp of cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 190 C or 375 F

1.Place the stewed apples into the bottom of an oven proof dish.
2.Sprinkle with brown sugar or sativa.
3.Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Mix the butter into the flour and baking powder until it resembles breadcrumbs.
4.Stir in sugar and spoon the mixture over the fruit.
5.Bake for 30mins:
6.Serve and enjoy either by itself, with fruit salad, or with ice-cream.

Alternatively you could use pear, plums or apricots instead of apples. This is also nice with 1/2 cup of oats or gluten free oats (if adding oats increase butter or margarine or olivani to 75grams and reduce flour or gluten free flour to 1/2 cup)

🍨most supermarkets now have dairy free options for ice-cream, our favourite is chocolate coconut ice-cream.
🥧Apple crumble pictured is made using olivani and gluten free flour for a dairy free and gluten free desert.

Welcome to the Autumn Court and Cozy Get Together - end of Autumn Celebration

The days of Autumn have fallen away, soon it’ll be winter. Another Autumn in the Autumn Court nearly over. Tonight we celebrate around a fire in the community cabin drinking spicy cocoa saying cheers so grab your mug and join us. To the wonderful memories of Autumn, new friendships and community!!!

Everyone gets ready to close out the season just as it began only the Spring court has been here to celebrate, staying with families in the guest quarters (known as a spare bedroom). They have also pitched in with the celebrations though they are seen as the guests. They have stayed for a week visiting families before the winter season inhibits visits and soon it will be the time the owl express are the most busy with messages back and forth particularly amongst the royal families. Then at the end of autumn celebrations the spring court will all return back home again. The other difference is the cookie exchange, where every household and their guests bake biscuits together one batch for the celebration and another batch for their guests to take home with them as a gift. We end of Autumn Celebration ends with eating the cookies and drinking spiced cocoa while telling of stories what we most loved about Autumn. Then lastly all of the guests will be thanked for coming as everyone looks forward to seeing them in the Spring again for the start of the Spring Celebration.

Soon the owls will be busy sending messages between the courts. Till then we will enjoy the last of their company and say our sad see you soon as no body likes goodbyes.
