This was a new bodysuit pattern I wanted to try, it will be too small for Nova now, so will be given to a great friend of mine to test.

Here is some more views of my Elsa and Elliot Coat, opting for zips and snaps as per the hack written on their blog (will link below).

Nova is proud as punch that she can zip up her own jacket. Now for some rain to give it a test!!

Over the easter 🐰 break I got some inspiration (and an energy burst).
I’ve been eager to make a rain jacket for my daughter and found this gorgeous softshell from spotlight.

This is by far, one of the most difficult projects I set out on. Not technically, but mentally.
With softshell, you (mostly) get one try otherwise you can see all your holes and mistakes forever🙈 I had to really take my time. Measure, read, measure, practice, practice and practice measure again,
But this is also, by far, the proudest I have ever been in making something. 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️💁‍♀️

So now Nova can never grow!!! 😂

The pattern was wonderfully set out and it was a breeze to follow. I also used the hack that wrote on the Threads by Caroline blog and added a zip and rib on the collar and arms (More photos to follow). The rib on the cuffs is super helpful, since the jacket is still a little big on Nova, it keeps the arms from falling too far down over her hands.

I’ve been super quiet on the sewing table lately, only just feel like I have energy again.

I’ve been sewing up these newborn items for my little one and making a capsule of merino essentials.

I’m always happy to make to order, so if that’s something you might be keen on, flick me a message!

In the meantime, I’m going to be sharing my personal makes on my other account so feel free to follow along there!

While on this summer break I had a goal to make some new clothes for my little one, she is growing out of things faster than I can make! 🤦‍♀️

And it’s been giving me a new motivation on the machines.

Here is a matchy matchy. First time using this pattern so still in testing phase. This is literally hot off the machine and there ain’t no way I’m waking up my sleeping beauty to try it on 😂

I’ve certainly slowed down these last months while some new exciting things are happening, but hang tight - I’m still offering orders and I’ve got some of my very popular spring rompers coming very soon!
