Ramadan Mubarak y’all

One of the most generous blessings of the month of Ramadan is the opportunity to have our dua (supplications) accepted.

I have compiled a short list of some basic and often recited duas encouraged daily during the month. Of course, you can add your own personal duas asking for whatever your heart desires.

Here are some blessed times when dua (supplication) is more likely to be accepted by Allah (SWT), as mentioned by Prophet (SAW)
- Last third of the night
- Before saying salam in a prayer
- Between adhan and iqama
- Between Asr and Maghreb on. Fridays
- Before breaking your fast

“Dua is the essence of worship.”

So, in this special month of worship, let’s continuously raise our hands to Him in dua.

I hear fall's coming...

Fall has always been my favorite season mainly because it's finally a relief from scorching temperatures. Here, in Houston, it seems like a cruel joke. Something that falls (pun intended) in December and lasts maybe a week.

I'm not going to complain about the weather while people in Pakistan are dying due to what the UN is calling "Moonson on steroids". The scale of this disaster is unbelievable. Thousands have died and millions displaced. Pakistan is in our prayers.

Ramadan Mubarak 🌙

Every year we are so blessed to welcome another Ramadan. I enter this month with a grateful heart. Thankful that I am able to embrace it when so many sisters and brothers, who are no longer with us, will not. I look forward to the reminders that Ramadan brings, shifting perspectives about what is important and pushing me towards a greater connection with my Creator. Changes I hope to carry with me throughout the year.

I pray this month brings you peace and blessings. I pray you find that He is with you and has always been with you, you need only turn to Him.

I pray that you fill this month with acts of kindness, worship, good deeds and give generously in charity (financially and otherwise). I pray that we will always prioritize our akhira (hereafter) over this dunya (worldly life) and live accordingly.

I pray He accepts from us. I pray this for myself and for you. Ameen.

⁣The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.

Y'all how is it that we are in the last 10 days of the year. It is so wild. This year has been a rollercoaster for so many of us. I love this time of the year for many reasons; the cooler weather means fall/winter fashion - my fave, the holiday period has people in a generous and happy mood - yay, and it is often a time when things slow down and allow for reflection over the past year.

I am grateful for so much this year, the good and the bad. The good for obvious reasons and the bad because it helped shape me and taught me things I did not know about myself. It also brought me closer to my Creator and imo that is invaluable.

One thing I am super proud of is the recent launch of my medical weight loss practice . It is a big reason I have not been posting as much on , so thank you for your support inspite of my silence. Launching my own practice has been years in the dreaming phase and after much hard work and prayer I am so humbled to share it with the world. I pray that I will be able to help serve my patients in a meaningful way. Ameen.
