We often rush to define what’s good for us. We try to write the blueprint of our lives thinking we already know the full view. We decide what success should look like, what happiness should feel like, and what peace should bring. We set timelines, make plans, and try to control every step, believing we know what’s best.
But God knows us better than we know ourselves. He understands the fears we hide, the wounds we try to ignore and the potential that even we doubt (read Jeremiah 29:11). He knows the smallest details about us, even the hairs on our head are all numbered (Luke 12:7).
When you feel confused or anxious, take a moment to pause. Release your ways to Him and let go of the desire for control. Trust that God’s timing is perfect, and His plans are always for your ultimate good, even when they don’t make sense in the moment (Romans 8:28).
Those detours or delays may seem like setbacks, but they are often God’s way of shaping us for something greater. He uses waiting seasons to teach PATIENCE, our loss to teach DEPENDENCE, and changes to teach FAITH (James 1:2-4).
My prayer for you today is that you may let your heart rest in Him. Ease your grip on trying to figure everything out. Release the urge to force outcomes. Let God’s wisdom guide you while remembering that He is the Potter, and you are the clay (Isaiah 64:8). Every molding is His love in action. He is not shaping you for anyone else’s plan.
He is shaping you for His purpose, greater than what you can see for now.
Surrender your plans, your timelines and your worries.
Remember, God knows the desires of your heart and delights in giving you exactly what you need,
in His perfect time.
Shalom.
