Some people play the victim even when they are clearly at fault.
They shift the blame, twist the story, and make it look like you’re the problem -
even after showing disrespect and refusing to change.
What’s harder is when accountability is avoided completely.
When consequences are given, but the truth is softened.
When termination is reframed as a “resignation” just to protect an image,
while responsibility is quietly erased.
Playing the victim doesn’t change the facts.
Avoiding accountability doesn’t rewrite history.
And no amount of storytelling can replace integrity.
At some point, the truth always stands on its own.
And those who choose honesty, boundaries, and professionalism
don’t need to explain themselves -
their actions speak clearly enough.
