Every lesson learned becomes part of the path.
Grateful for the guidance and support that shaped this milestone.
Honored to carry this forward… Grounded, curious, and growing. 🌱

Healing isn’t always a straight line.
Sometimes it looks like rest.
Sometimes it looks like slowing down.
Sometimes it looks like trusting that small steps still count.

Be gentle with your process.
You do not need to rush what is still unfolding.

WHAT IS ACUPUNCTURE?

Acupuncture is one way of supporting the body back toward balance.

It uses very fine needles placed on specific points to help encourage flow, ease tension, and support the body’s natural healing response. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, these points are connected to the flow of qi.

People often try it for pain, stress, sleep, digestion, and overall wellness.
It doesn’t try to force the body. It works with the body.

That’s what makes it feel like care that meets the body where it is.

HOW TINY IS AN ACUPUNCTURE NEEDLE?

If you’re scared of needles, I see you because, honestly? I’ve been there too. Even as a practitioner of this medicine, the idea of a medical injection or a blood test still makes me want to look away.

But there is something important I’ve learned about this work: an acupuncture needle is in a category of its own.

Look at how it compares to a medical syringe or even a sewing needle. At just .25mm, it’s closer to the size of a hair than a traditional needle. It’s not hollow, it doesn't inject anything, and it doesn't leave that poke sensation we’ve all come to fear from clinical procedures.

Acupuncture isn't about piercing the skin; it’s about a completely different way of listening to the body. For me, it became less about the fear of the needle and more about the curiosity of what happens when we do use them: the shift, the flow, and the release.

If your fear of needles has kept you from trying acupuncture, I hope this helps you feel a little more at ease. It’s a gentle, subtle process, and you are always in control of it.

Have you ever been nervous about trying acupuncture? I’d love to hear what helped, or what’s still holding you back.

In Chinese medicine, we often talk about Qi — how it rises in spring, how it needs space to flow. But I’ve noticed that as people are seeking healing, we’re often taught to force that growth, to push for immediate results, and to "level up" as quickly as possible.

Lately, I’m learning that trusting myself means letting go of that urgency. It means acknowledging that my own healing journey doesn't have to look like a textbook definition of progress. Sometimes, growth looks like slowing down, resting, or just sitting with the confusion a little longer.

You don’t have to rush your own unfolding. You are allowed to take your time, and you are allowed to grow at your own pace.

If you’re feeling pressured to be "further along" than you are, this is your permission to slow down. What is one way you can be gentler with your growth today?

Grounded Growth 🌱

The tree needs deep roots to grow tall.
Yin and yang must find balance.
The body needs to feel safe to heal.

I came to Chinese medicine the way most people do, through my own body.
Something wasn’t working. Western answers were not enough. In that gap, I found acupuncture, not as a last resort, but as a completely different way of listening.

Now I am studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, learning to read the body through elements, meridians, and qi. I have also stepped into practice, seeing clients and sitting with real people and real patterns. Nothing replaces the experience of doing the work itself.

Traditional Chinese Medicine looks at the root, not just the symptoms. It sees the whole person, not just the diagnosis.

Grounded Growth is where I document this process, what I am learning, how I am healing, and what it means to grow into this work while still being in it.

Here, you will find TCM insights, simple acupressure guidance, and reflections from both sides of the needle.

It is okay to grow at your own pace.
I am still growing. And I am already in it.

Let’s heal together 💚
