𝐎π₯π’π πšπ«πœπ‘ππ‡ The Dream

It was just a dream. Sadly, none of the three have reached my goals and dream for a clothing line. I know that there is something more.

Years ago, We created our first clothing line, The Rekta Clothing
With my co-leaders in the church, we planned to have our own printing company, specialized in silk screen tshirt printing. TRIAL & ERROR

As part of life, failures is always present, In fact I actually established Three clothing line (3) namely, The Rekta Clothing on 2010, The Til The End of the Day Clothing on 2013, and the See th

e King Clothing on 2016. I would design and launch a few t-shirts centered around my love for graphics and minimal designs, and my market is only circling around Christian Faith People. I felt like the design culture at the time was really lacking in this area. What started as an entrepreneurial experiment and outlet for my passion quickly grew at the first part of the business. But as I have said, It was only in the first, but doesnt last long. and I know and I admit that it was my fault. and I decided to keep going. Going Full-Time

I decided to follow my passion and make the jump. I've done research, canvass and some interviews related to this printing business. I seek Advices from my Pastors and Leaders. As part of this change, this time i have decided to establish this clothing line without co-worker, and my Pators and Leaders graciously agreed to allow me to go full-time this time. It started with a simple idea & My mission remains the same: Create high-quality, well-designed goods that I would want to buy myself.I didn’t start with a formal business plan, and in fact I had very little background in business. Rather than following the β€œtraditional” model of starting a business, I just tried to apply common sense and research to figure things out as they came up. I’ve found that the best way of learning is by doing. It’s more than just t-shirts. It's All about Me! WHAT I WANTand WHAT I WOULD BECOME

I always has been a project rooted in my passion for design. It’s not about reinventing the wheel, but about creating for its own sake, and making better versions of the products I want to own and use. This mindset of creation and attention to detail has allowed us to find success in unconventional ways, and to pioneer our own path as we’ve grown into a full brand. Keeping it Personal

Even as we grow, one thing that I’ve always wanted for My Clothing line is to maintain the personal touch. We don’t try to make This Clothing line look like a big corporation. I want to be as transparent as possible. No matter how big this Clothing line gets, I always want to be accessible to fans and customers. I love connecting with people on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

What are your thoughts on Don't Blame the Kids Apparel Co. sneakers?

Here's my take...

I've been a fan of DBTK's vision even before their first sneaker collab back in 2017.
The amazing thing about DBTK is they are more than just their products, it's a community.

Now, with the DBTK spark sneaker, there are 3 parts I would like to discuss:

COPYRIGHT. A lot of you guys, either concerned or just trolling, say NIKE might sue them for copyright.
Yes, that is possible but in reality, DBTK is not a threat to NIKE in any way so they wouldn't even bother taking the time
or wasting money to chase them. Unlike with Warren Lotas, the threat is higher for He has bigger connections
and wider influence.

DESIGN. They could have done differently but there's a principle behind it,
"SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT" meaning it has to be familiar with a touch of newness on it.
It's the same principle used by Virgil Abloh and Travis Scott on their sneakers.

PRICE. It's only 100 pcs so production-wise it would be expensive. Also, take note that they did not use some common
materials. And altering the pattern differently or creating a new pattern will add more cost, so it makes sense that's
why they stick with the classic.

At the end of the day, with all these concerns, All that matters for now is that DBTK has paved a way for every
local streetwear brands to venture into the sneaker industry, making our STREET CULTURE more complex than before.

Lastly, if you're a reseller thinking if it has value, try supporting your fellow Filipino first, with us all together
we can make it huge. (That's how japan started their street culture and eventually, some unique / collab sneakers are only
found or available in Japan.)

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING, not only for DBTK...

Before we formed the concept to start our own movement, we were inspired by a combination of some rookies and pioneer brands on the local scene. We were struck by their visions, standards, and how they contribute and show their identity and purpose to the scene, not just in terms of outstanding products.

They all have different creative styles, but they all have the same goal which is to rise up. These brands are examples of why a brand should be more than just labels and products, but also a movement and an important part of one's lifestyle.
