From a Shop in Pico to G1 Lodge: A Story of Growth, Grit, and Good Laundry
Tumblewash started small. We were the first laundry shop in Pico to offer pickup and delivery in our neighborhood and nearby areas like Puguis and Buyagan. Over time, we expanded our services to include dry cleaning, shoe cleaning, and carpet cleaning, always with one goal in mind: to serve better.
Last year, we hoped to join the first Laundry Masterclass, but due to some limitations, we couldn’t make it. So when we saw that the next one was happening in Baguio City, we immediately reserved our slots.
We walked away from that session with fresh insights, and we were fortunate to share our own journey with fellow attendees.
Then came February 2025. We received a message from Flo of G1 Lodge. We scheduled a meeting and sat down to discuss how Tumblewash could help improve their linen operations. By the way, we highly recommend the coffee and croissants from Curious Coffee Co. where we met.
Not long after that meeting, we got a message from Flo saying, LET'S TRY IT OUT!
Truth be told, we weren’t entirely prepared for the initial volume. The jump-off load was massive. We packed everything into our trusty pickup truck and alerted the team to get ready. When the laundry arrived, everyone sprang into action—at both our main site and our second one. That initial load was so big, we had to split it into two deliveries in the span of 4 days.
Still, we pulled through. And from that first batch, we were officially onboarded as G1 Lodge’s official laundry service provider.
There were a few process tweaks along the way; we reviewed chemical inputs, refined our logistics, and realigned resources. We also made sure that communications is always open with G1, feedback was implemented quickly, and key agreements were properly documented.
It’s still early in our journey with G1 Lodge, but already, we’ve seen improvements in their linens. More importantly, so have they. The feedback from their team affirms the work we’ve put in.
A few weeks ago, we attended our second Laundry Masterclass. It gave us not only more insights but the confidence that the systems we’ve built together with G1 Lodge are on the right track.
We’re grateful for the trust G1 Lodge has placed in us. And we’re excited to continue helping them deliver a quality guest experience—through fresh, clean, reliable laundry.
