Can I be honest with you?

There have been many difficult times in my life when I doubted prayer.

There were times of great struggle when I felt prayer was just some thing I did out of habit, but it was pretty useless.

Because nothing was really happening when I prayed.

But in recent years, as I got older, I’m discovering how much I need to be in God’s presence.

That, even if it seems as though nothing was happening in my external circumstances, behind the curtain of the physical, God was already at work, changing, healing and blessing.

That from hindsight, when I look back at those times when it seemed as though nothing was happening, God was already planting the seeds of miracles that would later bear fruit into a great harvest.

We cannot survive without prayer.

God is our oxygen.

"Be still in the presence of the Lord. And wait patiently for him to act." Psalm 37:7
