Apo Maria “Whang-Od” Oggay symbolizes the strength and beauty of the Filipino spirit.

Heralded as the last mambabatok of her generation, she has imprinted the symbols of the Kalinga tribe—signifying strength, bravery, and beauty—on the skin of thousands of people who have made the pilgrimage to Buscalan. “When visitors come from far away,” Whang-Od says in the Butbut language, “I will give them the tatak Buscalan, tatak Kalinga for as long as my eyes can see.”

Pitong munisipyo sa lalawigan ng Palawan ang maglalaban-laban para sa Saraotan sa Dalan (Street Dancing Competition) ngayong araw bilang isa sa pinakamalaking aktibidad sa Baragatan Festival 2022.

Nabatid na ang mga munisipyong kalahok ay ang bayan ng Kalayaan, bayan ng San Vicente, Rizal, Brooke's Point, El Nido, Magsaysay at ang bayan ng Quezon.

Ito ay gaganapin ng ika-1:00 ng hapon at magsisimula ang parada sa Immaculate Conception Cathedral patungong PGP Convention Center, Capitol Compound.

Ang itatanghal na kampeon ay tatanggap ng tumataginting na P1,000,000 habang P750,000naman para sa ikalawang puwesto at P500,000 para sa ikatlong puwesto.

Pagkakalooban din ng consolation prize na tig P100,000 ang mga hindi papalaring manalo.
