The fl**ge size that fits you today may not always be the right size throughout your pumping journey.

Our bodies change, and ni**le size can change too—so if your usual fl**ge suddenly feels uncomfortable, don’t forget to check the fit again. 👍

That’s also why it can be helpful to have different sizes of fl**ge inserts on hand. You never know when you might need to adjust your size. 🥰

A comfortable, proper fit can make your pumping sessions more confortable and help support effecrive milk removal. 💗

Do I really need to wash my breast pump parts after every use?

Yes, Supermoms. 😊

Pump parts that come into contact with breast milk should be cleaned after each use.

Alam namin dagdag hugasin na naman especially kapag ilang beses kang nagpa-pump in a day. But proper cleaning helps keep your pump parts safe and hygienic for your little one. 💕

After washing, let the parts air-dry completely before storing them. Small routine but an important part of your pumping journey. 🥰

The correct answer is B — Your ni**le rubs against the sides of the fl**ge tunnel.

If your fl**ge is too small, your ni**le may rub or feel pinched during pumping which can make pumping uncomfortable. 🍼

A good fl**ge fit should allow your ni**le to move comfortably in the tunnel without excessive rubbing.

And remember Supermoms—pumping shouldn’t be persistently painful. 💗

Pumping 101 #004

Should pumping hurt? 🍼

Pumping can feel like a pulling or tugging sensation but it shouldn’t leave you dealing with persistent pain, pinching, rubbing or ni**le damage.

If pumping is uncomfortable, here are a few things worth checking:
💗 Fl**ge fit — A fl**ge that’s too small or too large may cause discomfort and affect milk removal.
💗 Suction level — More suction doesn’t necessarily mean more milk. Use the highest level that still feels comfortable rather than simply turning it all the way up.
💗 Ni**le position — Your ni**le should be centered in the fl**ge tunnel and able to move without excessive rubbing.
💗 Pump parts — Worn valves, membranes, or other parts can affect how your pump performs.

And Supermoms, don’t ignore persistent pain just because you think pumping is supposed to hurt. 🥺

If you continue to experience pain, ni**le injury, bleeding or other concerns despite adjusting your pump, consider getting help from a lactation professional or healthcare provider. 💕

Comfortable pumping matters too. 🫶
