Healed to bring healing
Acts 28:1-10

“Healing does not only come physically, the healing of our heart and soul resonates into our entire being and we are called to share it.”

The journey of Paul and his companions to Rome was no way easy, disaster came, which led them to Malta. Yet, despite everything they managed to get offshore, have some rest and gather. It was not the ideal trip one would want to have but it is a God led one.

In verse 3 Paul was bitten by a poisonous snake, and immediately in verse 4 people judged him. They called him names, names that he had when he was not yet redeemed. These people though just want to mock him unknowingly called him for what he was in the past, a murderer. But, Paul just shook it off, knowing that He was already healed and redeemed by God.

In the end, it was Paul who brought healing to their land, the same hand that was bitten by a poisonous snake, the person they called cursed was used by God to heal their village. Therefore, let us take in our hearts that we are not healed and redeemed just for ourselves, we are called to minister, bring healing to those who are still broken.

Healed to Serve
Mark 1:29-31

“When Jesus restores us, it is never just for ourselves, it is so we can serve others."

In Simon and Andrew's home, Simon's mother in-law lay in bed with a fever. It wasn't a dramatic scene, no crowds, no shouting, no spotlight. Just a woman quietly suffering, weakened by sickness.

But when Jesus entered, He came near, took her by the hand, and lifted her up. Immediately the fever left her.
And what did she do? She rose and began to serve them.

May this story remind us that Jesus cares even about the pains we think are "small." Not all healings are loud or public. Some happen in the ordinary rooms of our lives, in the quiet moments no one else sees.

Sometimes, healing doesn't come in the spotlight, but in the quiet touch of Jesus that our hearts truly need. In that touch, He restores our strength so we can rise again, to love and to serve others.

A strong 6.9 earthquake shook Cebu last night, causing destruction in San Remigio and Bogo City. Rescue missions are ongoing, and aftershocks are still expected.

Lord, we lift up Cebu and all affected communities to You. Bring comfort to every grieving heart and healing to those who are injured. Strengthen families who have lost homes and loved ones, and surround rescue teams and volunteers with Your protection and endurance. Calm the fears of those facing aftershocks, and fill every heart with hope and peace. May this tragedy draw people together in unity and compassion, and may Your presence be their refuge and strength.

In Jesus Name, Amen. 🙏

2 King 5:1-14

"We obey not because we always understand, but because we believe in Him Who commands."

Sometimes, we get caught up in the concept of perfect faith—a faith that never questions or stumbles. However, as long as we are in this world, we will be tested, and our faith won't always feel complete. What we must always prioritize is our obedience. We don't obey because life is going smoothly or because the command is convenient. We obey because He is good—He is, He was, and He always will be.

The story of Naaman's healing clearly shows that he didn't have perfect faith; he was initially doubtful and skeptical. Yet, his story also demonstrates the crucial role our circle plays in our walk with God.
Influenced by his companions, Naaman ultimately chose to obey. He dipped himself seven times in the Jordan River and was healed—not by the water or by his own power, but because he obeyed Him Who heals. His healing wasn't a reward for perfect faith, but for simple obedience.

Therefore, when His instructions don't immediately make sense, take a dip of faith. If it doesn't work the first, second, or third time, try seven.

In doubt and uncertainty, always remember to obey anyway.

Many parts of the Philippines have been affected by heavy rains and flooding in just a few days. It’s been a heavy time for our nation. But even in the middle of this, we can hold on to the truth that God is our Savior, our refuge, and our strength.

WG Fam, let’s pause and pray together for our country. 🙏🏻

Asking God to stop the rain, bring calm to every community, and pour out comfort and provision for affected families. We pray for safety and strength for all rescue workers and volunteers, wisdom and compassion for our national and local leaders, and for churches and communities to be a source of hope and help. Above all, may peace reign across the land and may hearts be drawn closer to Jesus in this time.
