Pakistan is famous for its high quality leather. We have an age old craftsmanship which can be traced back to the old Indus valley civilization. You can find people here in Lahore and Sialkot tanning leather for as long as they and their forefathers can remember. As modern technology replaced the human hands and mass production took over the craftsmanship, these craftsmen are in very bad condition struggling to preserve their art and make a living. We wanted to do something about this great art which is on the verge of extinction.
