In the footwear industry, it’s worth remembering that we primarily work with leather — the oldest byproduct reused from the food industry. Today, there is growing concern over using synthetic materials at any cost. As a result, sheepskins and other leather byproducts that could be repurposed end up in landfills, which is unfortunate.

It’s important to highlight the benefits of using leather: it is natural, durable, biodegradable, and part of a sustainable cycle that has lasted for centuries. Reusing leather isn’t just tradition — it’s environmental responsibility.
