Happy to finally show my first skirt attempt!

It's a really easy project that gave me a lot of satisfaction! I do love that fact that I could realize it, step by step, following my desired model. I always struggle in finding a branded skirt that fits me, or made by a nice material. I wanted a skirt high waist, that would fit my hips nicely and smoothly and of course, comfortable!

Abraço bra

Designing a product is a long, tough and complicated process. So many variables and different problems are involved. I always admire other designers' efforts and work.

I started writing down the pattern for my Abraço Bra, after having realized a new one all in cotton. And of course, the final result was different and I didn't like it too much. That means unraveling everything and do it again. That means also dealing with a lot of frustration too 😂 and I'm sure, that other handcrafters here can understand what I mean.

Nevertheless, being able to put effort in order to reach perfection, in my opinion, is a super great quality, that all handcrafters have. So be always proud of your works, even though sometimes we would like to quit😂❤

While I am waiting for my parcel full of some new yarn, I am going to post some pictures I took while I was in Italy. I was at my grandma’s house, looking for some nice and bright spots to take pictures of my bucket hats (in my apartment light isn't great).
It was freezing cold, so we prepared some nice and hot tea while I was knitting a scarf for one of my friends. My grandma was sewing some pants for grandpa. I remember her complaining about a big hole in the pants, “how did you make it?” she asked him. He simply replied “I don’t remember darling. Is it difficult to patch? Leave it like that”. “No, no, I will do it” she said.

Ps. My Grandma made the lovely sweater I am wearing in the picture. It is stunning, with embroidered flowers and stones.

🤗Abraço Bra is the name we chose together! Abraco means “hug” in Portuguese and honestly I am really happy with this choice. Hugs are what we all have missed the most during the past year, but it also represents the perception I had when I wore this bra for the first time.

I have opted for a button closure on the back, in order to tighten it or loosen it as I like. In this way my breast has a better support and it gets a better shape under t-shirts.

I'm planning to write the pattern once I get some new cotton and a tripod, does this sound cool?

💣 Happy to present you my new creation!

The inspiration came from my will of reproducing one of my fav bra from Intimissimi.
Bra cups are never easy to do, I have tried many and after a long process I finally found the perfect one! (At least for me)

Today I wear it all day long, and was like wearing nothing, super comfy!

I made mine with acrylic yarn, I think the next one will be in cotton. I would also like to write the pattern and ask for testers! ❤

I'm really happy with the result! Do you like it? Should we find a name for it?
