The 17th century doublet and breeches, a comission I made last autumn. Not quite the fancy musketeer, but a good and sturdy outfit for a hardworking lad!
Visible seams worked by hand for a more authentic look but more rationally sewed on the inside. Period woolen and linnen qualities, in plausible, down to earth colours. Not too much fun - just like the 17th century...

My new pinstriped knickerbockers, woolen socks, leathergloves and a thrifted wooljumper I altered to its present vintage appearance a while back. Getting the sporty look somewhat right, you almost can't tell I haven't got a clue about skiing, can you?

Happy customer with his brand new jacket! Pattern drafted, cut and sewn after his measurments and specifications. And here he is, warm and pleased, casually posing infront of an old, swedish train carriage from 1921.

The 1917-skirt in the making. Some details and pictures as the project progressed, as well as scrambled notes of patterndrafting and inspirational, period fashionplates. Luckily the result is much neater than the crooked path of construction! @ Gamlestaden, Gothenburg

Long time absence and absent-mindedness on social media fortunately doesn't mean no work done in the studio. I have adventures from 900 AD, mid 17th century, 1917 and modern tailoring to share with you!
First out. Me, during one of the visits in 1917 earlier this autumn. gave me the wonderful silk blouse which I modified and upcycled with a lace collar. The discretely checked (in matching colours with the blouse) skirt was a joy to make, pattern drafted after looking att numerous fashionplates from 1917.

In between work and other commissions, I occationally try to spoil my wonderful and very patient partner! What would be the point for him to put up with me, if not to recieve bespoke tailored garments now and then? ;)

Made of thick wool-jersey and cut according to his specifications, this cardigan was just the thing this snowy winter.

Pictures of one hollidaying tailor let loose in York last week. Me and a company of a dozen swedes went over for the annual viking festival and had a wonderful time!

Latest trends from the reenactment-scene is slow fashion in soft, earthy colours. With a base of quality made garments, you could use your kirtle for up to 500 years with just a minor change of accessories! A good, sturdy plantdyed kirtle, conbined with a light woolen veil might be 800 AD as well as 1300 AD. Just remember to change the bag and krucifix a'la Hedeby and shoes from York when time-travelling... Photo: M. Bydén

Past months have been filled with lots and lots of work. After quitting one of my dayjobs, as well as a sorely needed holliday last week, I feel like a fresh, new tailor, back in business!
