Last weekend we visited and one of the shows was titled “seeking chu xin”. So, what’s our chu xin? (Swipe left to see translation for chu xin)

Sōsu has been around for awhile and we’ve made multiple pivots. We started off with necklaces, and we crafted up-cycled jute pouches for our packaging. Later, we took a leap into working with social enterprises which changed the whole dynamics. We had to double up on marketing and sales, but the numbers couldn’t make any sense. We struggled, we pressed on and sadly, we have come to a point where we have to say good-bye for a little while.

But we are not forgetting our initial dreams. We will continue to craft our necklaces from Myanmar in the smallest batches ever. Sōsu will remain as a source of income for the ones who need it. The best way of sustainability is to not be producing for the sake of retail 🌿 The products will come when the artisans need the income, and when they are here, I hope you will still be here with us too!

We may have slowed down our paces in Singapore, but our partner in the Philippines has been keeping it going. I am thankful for the moms of Woven for weaving out and putting together the bags ☺️ With your purchase, we have been able to support our artisans through community development organized by our partners 🌱 I hope we can continue to do more in the years to come 🥲 (let’s see how things go ya?)

Some weekend ago, when we had our pop ups at OTH. 💖 Despite the erratic weather, the youth network took real good care of us by distributing water to hydrate and keeping us dry when it rains! 💖 keep up your fine work and thanks for the photos!

My personal ROCK STAR 🌟 Its my personal game changer! this helped me to exercise without feeling embarrassed, hence we named it the rockstar 😻

As we are hitting in our diary, we realise time flies so quickly. We are half a year in to 2023 😱

So much has changed in the past six months as we slowed down on sōsu to focus on personal and career growth. We may not be actively posting as much as before, but you can still find us online and in stores! 🥰
