What happens to tournament banners after the event ends? 😱

Together with HSBC Women’s World Championship 2024, we gave event materials a second life through circular design and community craftsmanship.

Used tournament banners, reimagined into thoughtfully handcrafted sunglass pouches 😎☀️

Each piece is uniquely one of a kind - carrying different cuts, textures, and stories from the original banners.

Thank you for supporting more meaningful and sustainable ways of creating!

We often talk about sustainable materials.
But how often do we talk about the people behind them?

This Fashion Revolution Week, we’re sharing a student-led project by Kia Jie and Celeste from NUS College, exploring craftsmanship and the human stories behind every handmade piece.

Featuring community makers from Commenhers at Yuhua SewMates - Cik Saharidah, Cik Aminah, and Cik Siti - this video captures their lived experiences, as they reminisce about a time when sewing, repairing, and reusing were simply part of everyday life.

Long before sustainability became a trend, it was already being practiced - quietly, intentionally, and with care.

In an efficiency-driven world, the pride and skill of making often go unseen. But every stitch carries time, memory, and meaning.

Sustainability is not just about what we use -
it’s also about how things are made, and who we choose to value.

Let’s slow down.
Let’s see the people behind our clothes.

What stayed with us the most weren’t just the processes -
but the stories shared by the makers.

“We’ve always reused what we had.
It was just part of life.”

Spending time with the makers from Yuhua SewMates reminded us that craftsmanship has never been separate from sustainability. It was already present - in the way things were repaired, reused, and made with care.

This project is not just about how things are made,
but about remembering the people, practices, and values we may have overlooked.

From the makers to you 🤍

It’s been a while since we last posted (sighhh) we’ve been busy working on projects behind the scenes 👀!!

But we’re so happy to finally share this one.

This collaboration marks our first partnership with .gypsied bringing together batik offcuts and our deadstock fabric archive to create a series of knot bags and coasters.

Together, we’re giving new life to these materials — extending their lifespan and keeping them out of landfill. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, with unique batik placements that make every item slightly different from the next.

Upycled by our local makers at Commenhers, this collection supports craft, creates microjob opportunities, and empowers our community through making. Thank you Aqilah & .gypsied for trusting us with this project!

One last post for the year….our 2025 Wrapped!

Looking back this year.. and every year before it, has been shaped by people. To our team who shows up with care and commitment, to our OG makers who believed in this journey from the very beginning, and to the makers who joined us along the way, thank you for lending your hands, skills, and stories. To our partners who have walked with us since day one, and the new partners who trusted us for the first time this year, our impact would not be what it is without you.

Every stitch, every product, every workshop, and every experiment has been a collective effort. This work has never been about numbers alone. It’s about community, trust, and choosing to do better together. Thank you for growing with us, believing in the process, and reminding us why we started in the first place. Here’s to everything we’ve built so far and everything that is yet to come! 💚

We’re so excited for 2026, are you? 🌟

Looking back on 2025 fills us with immense gratitude and pride. It’s been a year of meaningful collaborations & campaigns, with milestones we could only once dreamt about.

From launching impactful campaigns with incredible partners to seeing our brand woven into the fabric of our nation’s celebration on National Day – each moment has been a genuine result of our shared vision and hard work.

None of this would have been possible without our amazing team, our visionary partners, and you – our supportive community. Thank you all for being part of our journey! 🩷

Here’s to the lessons learned, the connections made, and the impact we created together. Onward to an even brighter 2026! 🚀

Did you know? Firehoses are built to last decades, but when they’re retired, many end up in landfills. Partnering with SCDF, we’re giving them a second life through design and craftsmanship — reducing waste while creating a revamped version of an existing functional item!
