As a fabric marquage artist, Ying paints directly on fabric, transforming garments and fabric items into one-of-a-kind masterpieces; as well as conducting workshops. 'Less is more; Odd is beautiful' - A unique handwriting underpins all of YTL's designs, from its quaint choice of colours, out-of-the-ordinary silhouettes, and humble detailings. We know you best, if your wardrobe is filled with black, white, and blue, then its time to add that splash of colour.

Honoured to be invited as a guest artist for the soft opening of the new Tiffany & Co. store at .

Inspired by the artworks within the space — from the linear textures on the walls to the fluid marbling of colour and stones — I created a series of blue orchid fabric charms where Tiffany’s guests can paint and add their own element.

A small artistic experience where art, craftsmanship and storytelling come together, and something personal to take home from the afternoon. 🩵

One Mural. 118 Orchids. One Goal.

On 2 March, we gathered at Shangri-La Singapore for the launch of Rooted; in Strength — a commissioned project in collaboration with and .

The 1.7-metre canvas which took 3 months from conceptualisation to fruition was created as a meeting point between art, community and purpose. Throughout March, the mural will continue to evolve as guests add their brushstrokes — bringing the artwork to life, one petal at a time.

Inspired by the mural, Afternoon Tea for Her is served at The Rose Veranda, Shangri-La Singapore, with selected experiences across the Shangri-La Group and JEN hotels supporting UWS initiatives.
