Hanfu hairstyle inspiration for this new creation today!
I kept the double-loop twists look for designing the shape of this obijime headpiece and paired it with delicate vintage enamel buttons and pompons.
This headband could be worn on pinned updos and high buns or with your hair loose and flowing on your shoulders. And you could add some combs and jeweled brooches if you want a more sophisticated style.

I will never get bored working with vintage to create petite, intricate headpieces for you. ✨

It's hard to explain why some of us feel so drawn to materials — but I think you either feel it or you don't.
Some people could spend hours in a fabric shop, running their hands over wool, linen, silk, brocade... others are pulled toward metal, shaped by fire, or drawn to the grain and warmth of wood.

This silk obijime is a perfect example. I found it in Tokyo, years ago, and I've kept it until the right creation came along. It was waiting for being paired with a vintage Phoenix jeweled brooch from London I sourced recently.

Every antique piece carries its own history — small imperfections, worn edges, a particular weave — and that's exactly where the inspiration lives.

The flaws aren't something to work around, they're what tells you what the piece wants to become.
