left one is one of the earliest versions of our base wallet, crafted just after Tauruscamp started to sell online. Its owner has carried it almost every day for nearly eight years.

On the right is a base wallet crafted in blue museum Cordovan. It has travelled across different parts of the world in the hands of someone special.

Canvas tote bag with one compartment inside, a small card holder for quick tap in a subway, plenty of hooks, additional AirTag holder. The bag is constructed with light gray canvas with 100% cotton natural lining. We used Rocado shell cordovan, buttero and Herman oak old world harness leather for the accents and handle.

We used copper rivets for strength and durability.

I worked with shell cordovan from many of the world’s finest tanneries over the years. Each has its own character and strengths.

but somehow, i always come back to Rocado Natural.

There is something about the way it feels from the very beginning the supple texture, the way it gradually develops a richer gloss through use. The break-in process. Rather than simply wearing, it evolves, becoming smoother and more personal with every day it spends in your pocket.

for the color, Natural is the king. Without pigments or surface colours influencing the aging, every shade, mark and deepening tone comes naturally from time, and daily life. No two wallets will age exactly alike.

Sometimes it’s hard to say which tannery produces the finest shell cordovan. For us, we always come back to Rocado.
