“I do not know You, but I know You have been watching over me since I was a little girl. Please let me know You and guide me to the right path. Please bless me with a humble man to share my life with.” I least expected to meet a stranger at a bus stop, who would later become my lifelong partner. That encounter marked the beginning of my journey to Islam. I not only found my soulmate, but I also found the Most Merciful Creator, Allah SWT. Looking through these photos brought back a flood of memories. I was deeply touched to see so many friends and family members who came together to celebrate my wedding in July 2004. July will always hold a special place in my heart. 💕 A friend once told me that there is no coincidence in Islam. Allah makes no mistake in determining where we are born, where we work, or whom we meet. I used to wonder why beautiful moments seem so brief and why people come and go in our lives. Over time, I learned to accept Allah’s plan. Some people are meant to walk beside us only for a season, and that, too, is part of His wisdom. Someone once asked me, “Do you miss working in your dream job as a fashion buyer, a career that allowed you to travel the world and brought you status and financial success?” My answer is no. Instead, I embarked on a different journey—one that slowed my pace of life and transformed the way I see the world. Allah opened my eyes to what truly matters in this temporary life and redirected my focus toward the hereafter. Along this journey, I came to understand the beautiful concept of tawakkul—placing complete trust in Allah while fulfilling our responsibilities. I often reflect on the hadith “Tie your camel". This timeless advice reminds us that human effort and trust in Allah go hand in hand. Over the past seven years, I have discovered a peace and tranquility that I could never have imagined. I do not believe there is any greater source of comfort than turning to Allah for His guidance, placing my trust in Him, and finding contentment in His plan. Every step of my journey has taught me that what we surrender for His sake is never truly lost—it is simply exchanged for something far more meaningful in the hereafter.
