Please get addicted to thinking that Allah will make everything work out for you.

Not because you know how it will happen. Not because you can see the way forward. But because you know who Allah is.

The Prophet ﷺ narrated in a hadith Qudsi that Allah the Almighty said:

“...أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي”
“I am as My servant thinks I am...”

[Hadith 15, 40 Hadith Qudsi]

So think well of Allah.

When the door closes, believe He knows why.
When the answer is delayed, believe He knows when.
When your plans fall apart, believe He is capable of putting something better together.

Having good expectations of Allah does not mean pretending everything is easy. It means trusting that even when you cannot understand what He is doing, you still trust Him.

You may not know how your story will unfold.
But you know Who is writing it.

So keep making du'a. Keep taking the means. Keep moving forward.

And keep expecting Allah to make it work out in ways you could never have imagined.

Tadabbur of Surah Al-An'am and Surah Al-Isra':

A pregnancy test comes back positive, and suddenly the joy is accompanied by many worries..

"Can we afford this?"
"Will we have enough?"
"What if things get even harder?"

These fears are not new. Allah addressed them in the Quran more than 1,400 years ago.

Allah says:

"Do not kill your children because of poverty."
(Surah Al-An'am 6:151)

And:

"Do not kill your children out of fear of poverty."
(Surah Al-Isra 17:31)

The verses sound almost identical, but notice the difference.

In Surah Al-An'am, poverty already exists. Allah says, "We provide for you and for them."

In Surah Al-Isra, the fear is about poverty that may come because of the child. So Allah says, "We provide for them and for you."

The order changes because the fear changes.

One speaks to the family struggling today.

The other speaks to the family afraid of tomorrow.

Allah knew both fears.

And perhaps that is part of the beauty of these verses. Allah does not simply tell us not to fear. He addresses the very thing we are afraid of.

Your child's rizq is not something you have to create.

The One who created them already knows what they will need.

May Allah grant every expecting parent tawakkul, barakah in their provision, and the ability to welcome their children with gratitude rather than fear.

What a blessing it is to be guided while you're still young.

Not because you'll never make mistakes.

Not because you won't struggle.

Not because your life will somehow become easy.

But because you learn early where to return when you fall.

Allah says:

> "Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith..."
> **Qur'an 49:17**

Think about the weight of that blessing.

You get to learn repentance before regret becomes unbearable.

You get to learn sincerity before the dunya completely captures your heart.

You get to learn that money, status and people cannot give the heart what it ultimately needs.

Allah says:

> "Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort."
> **Qur'an 13:28**

And perhaps the greatest gift of being guided young is not that you avoid every wrong turn.

It's that when you do fall, you already know where to go.

When life hurts, you return to Allah.

When you become confused, you return to Allah.

When you lose your way, you return to Allah.

That is guidance.

Not a life without struggle, but a life where you know the One to turn to through it all.

It's easy to say,

"I trust Allah."
..when life is easy.

When the doors keep opening.

When every du'a seems answered.

When everything makes sense.

The real test of faith begins when none of that is true.

Allah says:

> "Do the people think they will be left to say, 'We believe,' without being tested?"
> **(Qur'an 29:2)**

True tawakkul isn't tested when life is comfortable.

It's tested when logic collapses.

When the future is uncertain.

When your heart wants answers, but Allah asks you to trust Him anyway.

Think about it.

The very definition of reliance is depending on someone when the outcome is uncertain.

When life is easy, there is simply less reason for that reliance to be put to the test.

That's why sabr isn't pretending everything is okay.

It's remaining anchored to Allah when your du'a hasn't been answered, when the plan still doesn't make sense, and when all you can do is trust that He sees what you cannot.

If you're holding on to Allah even though life feels confusing right now...

Don't mistake your struggle for weak faith.

Perhaps this is where your īmān is becoming stronger than it has ever been.

May Allah make us among those whose trust in Him grows stronger through every trial, and grant us hearts that remain firm until we meet Him.

Have you ever made a du'a that never came true?

You begged Allah.

You cried.

You prayed tahajjud.

You truly believed,

"This is exactly what I need."

But the answer never came.

And perhaps...

that silence hurt more than the hardship itself.

Allah says:

> "…Perhaps you dislike something while it is good for you, and perhaps you love something while it is bad for you. Allah knows, while you do not know."
> **(Qur'an 2:216)**

At the time,

you only saw the closed door.

Allah saw what was waiting behind it.

Perhaps that unanswered du'a protected you.

Protected your heart.

Protected your iman.

Protected your future.

Or perhaps Allah was preparing something better.

Something you weren't ready to receive yet.

Looking back, many of us can already see moments where an unanswered du'a eventually became one of Allah's greatest mercies.

One day, by Allah's permission, you may look back at today's disappointment...

and thank Him for answering your du'a differently.

May Allah grant us hearts that trust His wisdom before we understand it, and make us among those who are content with His decree.

One of the biggest lies we quietly tell ourselves is:

"I'm behind in life."

But behind... compared to who?

The word "behind" only makes sense if you're walking the same path as everyone else.

Allah never promised that.

He wrote a different journey for every soul.

Different tests.
Different timelines.
Different destinations.

One person may be blessed with marriage early.
Another with knowledge.
Another with wealth.
Another with children.
Another with patience through hardship.

None of these paths are "late."

They're simply different.

Allah says:

> "And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others..."
> **(Qur'an 4:32)**

Comparison steals contentment because it makes us measure our lives against someone else's.

But Allah's decree was never meant to be compared.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

> "Know that what has befallen you could never have missed you, and what missed you could never have befallen you."

Nothing written for you can be taken by another.

Not your spouse.
Not your provision.
Not your opportunity.
Not your rizq.

So if your heart has been whispering,

"When will it finally be my turn?"

Remember this:

Allah is **Al-Hakīm**, The All-Wise.

He knows what you do not.

Perhaps what feels like a delay today is simply His wisdom unfolding at the perfect time.

May Allah protect our hearts from comparison, fill them with contentment, and grant us complete trust in His perfect decree.

We often think of rizq as money, possessions, or opportunities.

But some of Allah's greatest provisions can't be deposited into a bank account.

A gentle heart.

Words that heal instead of wound.

The ability to make someone feel seen, heard, and safe.

Perhaps Allah has blessed you with a similar gift in your own way.

Perhaps someone leaves your company feeling lighter.

Perhaps your patience keeps a family together.

Perhaps your kindness reminds someone that this world still has goodness in it.

Don't underestimate that blessing.

Not every form of rizq can be counted.

Some of it is carried in the heart.

May Allah make us among those who bring mercy, comfort wounded hearts, and become a means of goodness wherever we go.

For a long time...

I thought something was wrong with me.

People spoke about the sweetness of īmān.

Some people seemed to practice Islam effortlessly.

Meanwhile, I was still fighting the same sins.

Then I realized something.

Allah repeatedly commands us to have sabr throughout the Qur'an.

But sabr... because of what?

Perhaps because this dunya was never meant to be easy.

And Allah already knows that.

Your struggle doesn't surprise Him.

He knew this life would test you long before you ever experienced it.

That doesn't mean we should become comfortable with sin.

Far from it.

We continue fighting our sins until our last breath.

We keep making tawbah.

We keep striving.

Because Allah doesn't only see where you are.

He sees every sincere effort to return to Him.

Every temptation you resist.
Every act of repentance.
Every time you fall...
and choose to return to Him.

So if you're still struggling...

Don't lose hope.

Keep turning back to Allah.

May He purify our hearts, grant us steadfastness, and make us among those who are called:

"O tranquil soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]."

Āmīn.

How many of us have quietly made our du'a smaller?

Not because Allah told us to.

But because we slowly convinced ourselves we were asking for too much.

Yet listen to how the Prophet ﷺ described our Lord:

"Indeed, your Lord is Hayiyy (The All-Shy) and Karīm (The Most Generous). He is shy that when His servant raises his hands to Him, He would return them empty."
(Sunan Abi Dawud 1488)

Pause and reflect on that.

The One who needs absolutely nothing from us.
The Most Powerful.
The Self-Sufficient.

Yet the Prophet ﷺ described Him as Hayiyy and Karīm, pairing His perfect attribute of Hayā' with His perfect generosity.

How could such a Lord not invite us to ask?

So don't let your fears make your du'a smaller.

Ask for forgiveness.
Ask for steadfastness.
Ask for righteous children.
Ask for healing.
Ask for provision.
Ask for Jannatul Firdaus, the highest level of Paradise.

You're not asking someone whose treasures run out.

You're asking Al-Karīm.

May Allah make us among those who know Him better, ask Him more often, and never lose hope in His infinite generosity. Āmīn.

One of the greatest traps of Shaytan is making us believe our rizq depends only on what we can see.

The job offer.
The business opportunity.
The economy.
The people around us.

But Allah reminds us of something far greater.

A baby whale is born into one of the most unlikely places imaginable, the middle of the ocean.

Yet Allah designed its provision to reach it with perfect precision.

Not a drop is lost.
Not because the ocean makes it easy.

But because Allah made it certain.

The whale is just one of countless signs pointing to a promise Allah has already made:

> **"And there is no creature on earth except that upon Allah is its provision..."**
> **(Qur'an 11:6)**

Your rizq does not wander through creation hoping to find you.

It reaches you because Allah already knows exactly where you are.

May Allah fill our hearts with certainty in His promise, remove our anxiety over provision, and make us among those who place their complete trust in Him. Ameen.
