Day 4 – Kids Leathercraft Camp No. 3 ☀️

Over the past four days, our young makers transformed simple pieces of leather into beautiful handcrafted shepherd belts. Along the way, they learned new skills, embraced challenges, discovered the value of patience, and proved that great craftsmanship is built one step at a time.

🤎But this camp was about so much more than leathercraft. It was about curiosity, creativity, friendship, laughter, and creating memories that will stay with us long after the camp is over.

❤️A heartfelt thank you to Komárno Fortress for providing such an inspiring home for these traditions, and to every participant for bringing so much enthusiasm, kindness, and joy to the camp.

We are already looking forward to next year. Until then, keep creating, keep learning, and keep our traditions alive. ✨

Day 3 – Kids Leathercraft Camp No. 3 ☀️

Today, our young makers learned the traditional two-pass flat braid—a technique that may look simple but requires precision, focus, and practice. With every braid, their shepherd belts became even more unique and personal.

True craftsmanship can’t be rushed. It grows through patience, persistence, and a willingness to learn.

The highlight of the day was an inspiring guest lecture by Gábor Szabó, who invited us to explore the fascinating world of art history. His stories reminded us that every craft, every tradition, and every handmade piece carries a story worth preserving.

Our 3rd Professional Leathercraft Camp for Kids is just around the corner! 🪡🧵☀️

For four creative days, young makers will discover the world of traditional leathercraft by creating their own hand-laced shepherd belts. Along the way, they’ll explore craftsmanship, creativity, and the joy of making something with their own hands.

This year’s camp will also feature two inspiring guest sessions:
✨ Gábor Szabó, independent thinker and speaker
🎨 Péter Horváth, visual artist, who will lead a creative drawing workshop inspired by the camp’s theme.

Day 3 🤎✨

Some days are slower, some are busier – and today was definitely one of the busy ones. We worked hard, learned a lot, and by the end of the day we were pleasantly tired.

But that’s the beauty of this camp.

It’s more than learning a craft. It’s the scent of leather, long conversations, lots of laughter, and friendships that continue long after the camp is over.

For a few days, life slows down. Everyday worries fade away, and you simply enjoy being together, creating, and recharging.

We’re incredibly proud of this wonderful community that has grown around our camp over the years. 🤎
