One of the ways Phinix upcycles textile waste is by weaving them into new fabrics. We are so fortunate to find a textile weaving community that supports our advocacy for sustainable fashion. ⠀

The four people in this photo are our main textile weavers. Meet King, Sheila, Fernando and Jane - the weavers that made these beautiful woven fabrics. All of them are Persons With Disabilities. Our goal is to support and involve more PWD Textile Weavers in our textile recycling weaving processes. ⠀

The 2nd Youth Co:Lab Asia Pacific Summit is happening right now in Hanoi, Vietnam. Phinix was the winner of last year's summit and we are forever grateful for Youth Co:Lab UNDP in Asia and the Pacific UNDP Philippines and Citi for believing in us. We wish the best to this year's winners!

We are the official beneficiary of Ateneo Environmental Science Society 🧡 Send us your old clothes!!

As a part of our New Leaf fast fashion campaign, we are now opening a collection for clothes!

We will be accepting all types of old, damaged, stained, torn, and scrap clothes/fabric. The collected pieces of cloth will be used for on-campus exhibits this March, then donated to corresponding beneficiaries once the exhibits are over. All wearable, decent donations will be forwarded to orphanages and the rest will be given to Phinix (https://www.facebook.com/madebyphinix/), our official partner beneficiary.

You may drop your donations at the Bamboo Straw Selling booth in Gonzaga foyer (only until Mar 2), or at the AESS org room (MVP 307).
